What's going on with the fight Money?

Weekly FM challenges give half the FM they used to.

Capcom showed how much total FM was earned during on of their presentations earlier, by overestimating the userbase at the time and dividing that total FM amount by that overestimation, the actual average amount came out to around 150k or so at the time. The folks who were able to get all S1 & S2 character for free are very likely an extremely small percentage of the overall userbase. Definitely nowhere near the average user's earnings.Without knowing the full details of the other potential FM sources, I can understand people getting pissy about FM getting slashed. But reading comments from people saying things like, "I was able to get all of season 1 and 2 characters from just FM ect...." I was like yeah, I can see why Capcom might be trying to tone that down a little. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
i mean...is this such a bad thing
Those payout amounts are listed here:

Realistically, using the current missions payout amounts and the listed Shadaloo solider amounts we should be able to calculate the FM payout for the next few weeks and can compare to the previously weekly payout (which was 6.5K, I believe).
They're just gonna reply to the backlash (if at all) with, "but if you win on your first try doing this this and this, you can earn so much more than before, so it's all much better now than it has ever been!"So what does Capcom think the reaction is going to be that weeklies are halved?
I don't think you'll get 2,500 FM if you win all 3, I think it's just 3 shots at a single payout. There's one this weekend for 500FM per attempt with 2,500FM reward you can play three times, so that's a potential 6,000FM there. Of course there's the risk of losing FM too depending on the difficulty. Seems like it would even out to be about the same over time, but it's just going to take a lot more effort and with a risk.
Well for the current extra battle missions, you get EXP for each successful attempt. So it would make sense that you get FM for each successful attempt (max of 3 I think)Unless I'm looking at things wrong, with the golden soldiers and weeklies, we will come out ahead of the old way even with the main weekly halved. Or very very close. 3 weeks of golden soldier is 18,000 FM and 30,000 EXP. With the weeklies say halved : 3000 FM. So 9,000FM for the weeklies and end up with :
27000 FM and 30000 exp which is more FM for leveling up depending on the character level.
Edit: Oh wait...can you win the fm three times or only once...if once NM. Disregard the above.

Fucking Capcpom, I am so angry right now I SWEAR. I now have to play this game MORE THAN ONCE a week.
yes you do. Which is why it's really diminishing returns after the first successful attempt for the current EB missions.
In SF4 you could get jack for free. I don't see the issue. You got a whole season for free already. In which other fighting game can you get all characters potentially "for free"?
i take it as in people who just want free fight money out of no where and don't play the game as often. Capcom specifically told us the ways to earn fight money were charging after AE is coming out. Always something with this game with people it never fails.
I did the math.
Previously, there would 4 weekly missions. A mission with $100 FM, another with $500 FM, another with $1,000 FM and one last one worth $5,000 FM. That comes out to $6,600 FM weekly and $26,400 monthly.
Now we have 4 weekly missions with FM payouts (and the title mission). The payouts are $150, $250, $500, and $2,500 which totals to $3,400 FM weekly. So weekly mission amounts were lowered by a lot.
Let's consider the Shadaloo soldiers. The first solider (1/19 - 1/21) awards $2,500. And the third soldier (2/09-2/11) $5,000 FM. The second soldier awards 10,000 XP which we can equate to at least 4 level ups ($4,000 FM) for a new low level character at least for a new character like Sakura. (After completing their character story a new character is at level 8 where the level XP requirement is 1,000 XP. I believe after level 10 the XP starts increasing and gets to 2,700 XP at level 17 to reach level 18 so I think 4 level ups is a good assumption.)
TL;DR
Anyway, here's what we're looking at in AE right now:
Shadaloo Soldier 1: $2,500
Shadaloo Soldier 2: $4,000 (give or take)
Shadaloo Soldier 3: $5,000
Weekly Missions: $13,600 (3,400 x 4 weeks)
Total: $25,100 FM
Before AE we had the following:
Weekly Missions: $26,000 (6,600 x 4 weeks)
Total: $26,400 FM
So basically Capcom is providing more activities for the player but the monthly FM payout is a little less than before. Not a huge loss but man this is still lame.
I hate the FM system and I suggest everyone to just wait a couple years for "Ultra" Street Fighter V where they will almost assuredly include all of the costumes and stages instead of wasting your time grinding them out.
The FM nerf feels like this is the first step towards phasing it out.
I originally interpreted that as well but re-reading the blog post again it sounds like they're just referring to the number of attempts. The current special challenges - Shin Akuma and Wind Gem for the Rashid costume - only dispense rewards once so I'm doubting that the Shadaloo soldiers will be any different. There's one this weekend for 500FM per attempt with 2,500FM reward you can play three times, so that's a potential 6,000FM there. They included all of the costumes with Ultra Street Fighter IV though there was a set that was released like a year after the game had been out.I don't think they'll ever include all the costumes. They didn't add any of the extra costumes this go around outside the pre-order bonus.

But it's 1AM and I'm typing this all on my phone while being very tired. I could've just misread the blog post the last time I checked (a few minutes ago.) If the Shadaloo soldiers do dispense rewards multiple times that'll be fine for us veterans but newbies who are having trouble with Shin Akuma and the Wind Gem challenge now (as demonstrated by posts in this same thread) probably won't get the rewards with every attempt. And that seriously sucks for them.

Yeah because there were only like 6 costumes for each charactersThey included all of the costumes with Ultra Street Fighter IV though there was a set that was released like a year after the game had been out.
The costumes (well, everything) is tied behind the server being able to verify you own the content. I can't see a scenario where they won't release all of the content on-disc because while it may not be soon, the servers will one day go down. That's also when costumes only cost $1.25 via $5 bundles of 4.
yeah boy i sure hate wasting my time playing a game i enjoyI hate the FM system and I suggest everyone to just wait a couple years for "Ultra" Street Fighter V where they will almost assuredly include all of the costumes and stages instead of wasting your time grinding them out.
Maybe you didn't see people complaining about the FM grind, look a few posts up.

I saw. But I'm not replying to them, I'm replying to you.Maybe you didn't see people complaining about the FM grind, look a few posts up.
It was directed at the people above complaining about the FM grind. If you feel the need to wait for that, you might be waiting for a very long time since it's pretty much a GAAS. It would be like waiting to watch the entire Star Wars Saga...until you are sure they won't release any more films.
Well my post was directed towards them so it seems like you're wasting your time.

The EXP reward for Akuma can be done as many times as you like. I've done it at least five times.
I do hate the system which is why I'm not wasting my time grinding out stages or costumes because I do feel one day they will be included.I thought you were with them since you hate the FM system. My bad.
Didn't want to leave without responding. If you're right then that's $7,500 and $15,000 potential FM earnings. That would make a big difference in the monthly total.
Hmm, so maybe that's another 4 level ups per character (provided the character is around level 8 thru 17) and thus $4,000 FM per attempt. What's the entry cost, $1000 FM? If so then that's be around $3,000 FM in earnings. Not a ton but a couple successful clears would result in a decent chunk of FM.
Basically, there's more math to do. My rant might have been premature.
