today, Smash Bros (Switch) family now include these characters
This ain't even the most up to date version
It's still weird how they added fucking Ness in the very first game. Over things like Bowser, Zelda, King Dedede, Wario etc.
Sucks that it only includes the male versions of Robin, Corrin, and Byleth.This ain't even the most up to date version

Renting Smash 64 without being really sure what it was exactly as my 8 years old self truly was a marking WTF moment to me the moment I booted it.
Ness would've had a chance later in the series to join up. I guarantee you if Jigglypuff isn't in this game, she never joins Smash.
They make room for characters. Sometimes some characters get pushed to include new ones.
I didn't play a whole lot of the original (Melee was what really got me into the series) but it's hard to believe it's been 21 years.
