One other misleading quirk of Kicktraq is that it updates the current day throughout the day. There hasn't been a sudden decline in pledges today; it's just that the most recent day on that chart is only a partial day (measured from whenever 'midnight' corresponds to, presumably relative to the KS start/end time)
I'm not backing, but I'm glad it's seemingly going to make it, even if the campaign was planned very poorly, just like the first one. SWERY and Grounding deserve a chance to prove themselves.
Perhaps, it's time for you to recalibrate your understanding of the game development process, and yes, I'm aware you're a developer.
It was better, but it was still very poorly planned. What gave it a fighting chance were the almost desperate measures not included in the initial planning, namely the demo which was only released because the community kept badgering them for it, and the tease of the Switch version, which they've still not committed to, and you still can't back.
As much as I like Swery I don't believe for an instant he's been planning to withhold the prototype demo. Making a twitter poll is like asking a hungry cat if they want to eat, of course everybody would say yes
So did the Switch tweet generate the new momentum or was that just coincidence?
Doubt it, there are many people who were not happy with a possible Switch version being teased but not being part of the campaign as a stretch goal or similar.So did the Switch tweet generate the new momentum or was that just coincidence?

I dunno. If I was a developer in this project, I'd rather there was no demo than one like this;
I think 'most' is taking it a bit far. I've heard the last 48 hours of a Kickstarter usually gains around 20% of the total though.

I hope this isn't construed the wrong way, but considering Swery's games (or, more fairly, DP in particular) are fondly known for their jank as much as their charm, people posting pictures along the lines of 'lol look at this bug' probably got a LOT organic exposure.
What's with the obtuseness here?I have zero issues with bugs, or stuff that isn't there yet (I mean, people, I know what a prototype fucking is). It's what is there that gives me concern, namely the overly long conversations and repetitive quests. Admittedly the latter can be placeholders set there to give the player something to do in the demo, and the former can be tweaked, but then the proto hasn't much to show. I didn't find it fun to play, which is the entire reason prototypes exists (prototyping gameplay to see if it's fun before comitting to anything else). Of course this is probably not so much a prototype as something cobbled together with the assets they've developed to make the videos to pitch the game. I wouldn't know what to call it, but prototype probably isn't.
Eh, forget the stretch goals. The anaemic funding this game has got is already pushing it. Unless they're adding slacker backing just be happy with whatever change they make above this.96%
So close, this is getting funded within the day!
Hope Swery has a couple of realistic strech goals prepared and ready to go for the last 48h push.
It looked really bad for a long time, but there's been a lot of activity for the last few days (prototype demo + switch + new round of articles + YT videos, etc. + end of the campaign). Would be a shame to not make use of that and try to get it to 110-125% with some easy to implement strech goals like a guest character or something. Strech goals are a great motivator towards the end of a KS and every cent that goes to the game can only be good :)Eh, forget the stretch goals.
