It's not impossible for it to hit it, since they have been consistently getting a lot per day for the past few days (yen-wise on Kicktraq: 9.1m, 7.5m, 8.7m), but I think it would need to exceed that a bit to accomplish it?
Today's currently at 2m; they need 15m more to hit 880m. So they need 17m total across today and tomorrow. Kicktraq's timezone seems to GMT-5 based on tweets I found (admittedly from 2012 and 2014), so that would mean tomorrow isn't a full day but is at least almost 5/6 of one.
By my math they'll need to consistently keep a better pace than the average of the past 3 days (8.43m/day) in this span of time in order to cross the 880m line. They'd only need to hit around 9.3m per (full) day, so it's not that much more, but I feel like unless things really surge up at the last minute it's still a bit dicey.
EDIT:
And...
I'm still pretty confident it'll make it. I'm not going to go claiming it's a done deal, but I won't be surprised if it hits the mark.
As a short-term bold prediction, I think it'll be on £520k (which would be $700k, pretty much) before it hits the 24-hour mark.
Edit: Oh, which does remind me of a quick word of warning: Kickstarter timers round down. When it says "24 hours to go", that means "Between 24 and 25 hours to go". It'll hit the 24-hour mark when that changes to "23 hours to go"
I mean, that's not very bold of a prediction- they just hit $700k with 31 hours left, hah.
EDIT2: Though not quite £520k yet, I guess.
