That OP is pretty bad. You are mixing different things.
1- The fail0verflow exploit, there's no info at all. And they won't release it, that team is known because they keep their exploits private. They never said it works on any firmware, so there's really no point on getting excited for this.
2- There's a different exploit that will supposedly work on every firmware by Team Xecuter but will require a modchip.
3- The software kernel exploit only works on 1.0.
4- The homebrew launcher is being developed for firmware 3.0.

Will this actually be made public? Failoverfl0w never shared their Wii U exploit, at least as far as I'm aware.

I was very excited when I saw the discussion on another forum a few days ago. Looks like release of one of the teams who found exploits is close by!

They could release it - if it prevents piracy, they have a reason to do it - the Wii U was only stopped due to it being an easy target, they have shared PS4 exploits
This might be the same or different exploit
The public kernel exploit - we have an exploit on 4.1
HBC on 3.0.0 is super early and probably out of date very soon really
