I think my favorite of his might be
CNR which isn't an outright parody so much as a song styled like The White Stripes that talks about Charles Nelson Reilly as though it were an endless string of Chuck Norris jokes.
This is one of those where I always hear the parody instead of the original now.
This is like 90% of his parodies, though. Very few of the songs he has parodied are as good as his parody. No this is not commentary on pop music.
It's hard to pick one. But as nobody else has said it yet, I'm going to nominate
Whatever You Like for being the only one to share its title with the original.
THIS threw me off when I first saw the track listing, too. I had ot double take it because it felt so weird to see.

The source material is catchy, but awful, so now there's a song you can listen to instead that's just as catchy, and also funny and educational.
How is this even a question?
Although there are times you should say "to who," but I'll allow it. It is just a song, after all: it can't teach you everything about grammar.
And the use of the word "spastic" has aged poorly. Man, I have not listened to this song in a while...
And yes, this is him doing what he does best. It might be my favorite parody of his (copy editing is one of my many actual trades), though Tacky is in the same vein and VERY close if not equal. And they're both on the same album. Mandatory Fun is just masterclass from him, though.
re "spastic": TBF he's got a few other "of the times" things like that, but it's not like he hasn't evolved his lyrics with society. Almost the entirety of
Fat can invoke more than a little side-eye these days.
Headline News was one of his best parodies but is such a product of it's time it may not hold up for anyone under 35. I basically can't hear the original song without thinking about it though.
The way he sings the Bobbit part gets me every single time with how he says "weiner".
