Yeah, I am not sure why they hid it away, they are global too, so once you've set it, it's done for everything.Do yourself a favour and turn the driving assistances down. It's pretty well hidden (select car ->performance-> pro settings) but it really makes the driving feel MUCH better.

Really makes a big difference to the driving.
what exactly do you turn down and how far? Traction Control? ABS? ESP? SLIDE HELP?
everything all the way to the left?
I think so, I know quite a few didn't.To the people that played the beta. Is it better than the first?

Depends how you like to drive, personally for me, I left ABS about halfway, and dropped the others all the way to the left.
thanks guys having fun with thisI have traction control and esp at around 25%, ABS at 75% and slide help at 25%. It's all subjective of course, but this setup, to me, feels great.

The PC version does not. :( Don't know about console.
Man I am so interested to see how this game reviews. The beta was really disappointing to me and destroyed most of my enthusiasm for the final game. The handling, the lack of proper online features, the awful performance on O.G. PS4. I'm guessing 65 Metascore.
The first one didn't review well, 61 on metacritic, so I don't imagine this one doing much better.I havent read any previews from publications that gave it anything other than a big thumbs up. The only people pissing on the game are forumites, and mostly jaded ones at that.

Come on, man. It's OK to like this game without just shitting on people with different opinions. It just makes you look like a blind fanboy.
There are a LOT of valid reasons to dislike this game. If you're enjoying it, good for you.
Lol, typical era bullshit. I dont even own the game yet. Im just pointing out most previews are really positive. I mean you say you hated the first game and yet are posting in the OT for the second lol.
Yeah Crew 1 was so bad I dropped it fastI think so, I know quite a few didn't.
I just think back to how bad the crew 1 was at launch................
Same here didn't like the first one. But I slight improvement won't sell me the gameI really disliked the original and this is definitely an improvement but still very rough.
Maybe the second after the updates will get better? After all the updates the first is imho better than the second...
Looks great!
I never played The Crew, is it possible to freeroam the game world and can you play offline?
How's the console versions, what's the framerate?
It's online only I believe, and framerate seems to be steady 30 fps on consoles, 60 fps on pc.
At least with this sequel pretty much everything has improved by a huge margin and that's good enough for me and I'm sure everyone else who enjoyed the first. Reviewers can focus on the bad all they want, the game is fun as hell regardless of its faults.
Wasn't there an article somewhere comparing The Crew 2 to "Mario Kart in the real world"? Is that comparison true? I never played the first one.
Should be getting the game in a few hours time, looking forward to it, cant wait to get back to driving the boats!
i really wish everyone fun with the game but there could have been much more improvements
Turning into a boat in mid air and dropping 300 feet into the water is on totally legit though lol
Ignore button is your friend ;). Dude has, I guarantee you, spent more time bitching about the game here than he has playing it.Is this what they call concern trolling?, you've posted the same things multiple times in this, and the beta thread, and I am at a bit of a lose as to why, considering you've stated your distain for the game, you are still posting about it.
So I've never played the first game, but am always looking for new racing games. Can someone tell me what the appeal of this game is? I love sim games like Assetto Corsa and Project Cars, but love arcade racers like Forza Horizon 3, NFS, Burnout, etc etc.

I went on a cross travel trip in coop in the Crew and in one trip you would encounter many challenges, slalom events and other things of that nature. In one trip you could level a car and find good loot by simply driving and having a good time.
In the new game I went cross country twice and only encountered one human player and never had a single event occur while on the road.
Yes you do get more events as you hit the higher levels. Most of them though are off to the side and have to be initiated. Instead I think they tried to replace them with a personal highlight system from a game like Burnout Paradise. In theory if you had lots and lots of friends playing and setting records the world might have more things to do. However that seems unlikely based on how limited the online functionality is this time compared to the first.I wonder if that's because the amount of events unlocked are tied to your fan level?
