What are you talking about? It's always been there.I really dislike the "green tint" filter they added to this film.
The bullet dodge scene is still of the greatest shots in cinema history.

the marketing campaign for this movie in 1999 was sooooo good. "What is the Matrix?" was basically the only thing you saw or heard for weeks.
What? That was always there, and only applies to the world within the Matrix, emphasizing the fact that something is off and that it's not the real world.
There's definite color grading changes, the Wachowskis made the first movie more green to make it in line with the sequels.
The Matrix was my favourite Wachowski movie... until about 2 weeks ago when I saw Speed Racer for the first time. This is the wrong Wachowski movie. We need Speed Racer in 4k! (not joking, that movie's fucking awesome)
Huh, never noticed it. I always equate to the world of the Matrix having a green artificial look to it.
After watching Speed Racer I felt like I had overdosed on color. This is the wrong Wachowski movie. We need Speed Racer in 4k! (not joking, that movie's fucking awesome)
The only shot in the entire trilogy that really makes me just stop and sigh is the final flying shot of the first one. It's not all sunshine and roses but that's the shot that trips me up the most.
