This is the boomeriest of boomer comments.
Probably a skit, not Carrey singing obviously
Yeah if your head is buried in the sand and you only listen to mainstream music.
He must use that to open his album or a song
he really reinvents himself with every new project, doesn't he? while still maintaining his own true sound throughout.
It has an FM in the album title, I assume there will be radio type skits.Does the weeknd do skits? Jim Carrey has sung before on Cable Guy though.
Going by the trailer in the OP Jim Carrey is narrating the record as a radio host.
edit:
In an interview with Billboard on November 23, 2021, the Weeknd said to "picture the album being like the listener is dead. And they're stuck in this purgatory state, which I always imagined would be like being stuck in traffic waiting to reach the light at the end of the tunnel." He continued, "And while you're stuck in traffic, they got a radio station playing in the car, with a radio host guiding you to the light and helping you transition to the other side. So it could feel celebratory, could feel bleak, however, you want to make it feel, but that's what "The Dawn" is for me."
Wasn't that good.I was honestly surprised that "Take My Breath" or that collab he did with Post didn't blow up more. I liked them both.
Given the sort of Radio theming of the album I could see Carrey being like a DJ like character on interludes between tracks.Does the weeknd do skits? Jim Carrey has sung before on Cable Guy though.

Isn't that Jim Carrey doing the voiceover in the song clip in the Twitter post?Probably credited on some songs for some voice clips, but Jim Carrey is really out there lol
Updated with the probable tracklist
Not him in the clip, that's supposedly the song "sacrifice" which doesn't have him featured, but yeah he's probably the narratorIsn't that Jim Carrey doing the voiceover in the song clip in the Twitter post?
I'm assuming he's sort of the "narrator" on the album. Still so random.
