Did not really enjoy it much at all. It's choppy as fuck, the main menu is a mess (oh, for Trials HD's basic list of stages) and all the "cool" shit like dabbing just makes me feel like this game is really for 12-year-olds, or rather what middle-aged men think a 12-year-old would like, obviously. It's kinda painful, like, I'm embarrassed for them.
Core gameplay seems like it'll be great still, obviously, but I've got Trials HD, or Evo, or sometimes Fusion for that.
Save the World does.
I guess the only major publishers not mired in this crap are MS, Sony and CDPR.
Yeah, you are right, that could definitively be the case. I just reacted the way I did because I thought the OP and title were ambiguous, giving maybe the impression that we were talking about paid lootboxes in the Closed Beta available right now. As for the final product, who knows, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if you could buy Trials Coins with real money. I also wouldn't buy the game if that was the case, anyway.Or maybe they'll be only be purchasable with in-game currency, but set up a store to buy in-game currency with real money.
No!I was playing DKC Tropical Freeze last night and spent in-game currency on a capsule machine with blind-wrapped prizes.
Is this any different?
I think lootboxes can be fun when you reach a new level and they show up as a "here's some random rare loot for you" type of reward. Unfortunately companies have decided to go way past that point.I just don't understand what's fun about RNG mechanics like lootboxes. I know it is not paid but lootboxes in particular has never been fun or good.
Halo, Gears, and Forza had them too at launch.Microsoft games are full of microtransactions. In fact, one could argue that Halo 5 is the trendsetter for this.
Trials HD is still the best, they're getting progressively worse and more contrived with every entry. Still love them all though.
