Mochizuki preparing an article as we speak to prove that 99% of console were sold to scalpers and no one is buying games.

Good to have (additional) confirmation about next-gen good start (for both, even if with different volumes)
good also to see him responding to somehow trying to downtone Switch success LOL

I mean, both Microsoft and Sony came out weeks ago and confirmed their biggest launch ever. I'm missing the news here?

Both next gen systems continue to have significantly higher demand than supply, which will hopefully lead to tremendous sales in 2021 if the supply chain is improved.

As an aside, it's incredible how people attempt to downplay the success of the Switch in 2020 via increasingly ridiculous means such as in the OP's tweet - in what world is a Nintendo platform having 50% market share in the UK "not that impressive" lmao.

Seeing significantly higher demand then supply for the consoles is good news and the Switch doing incredible is even better. I like that Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft are doing well.

Tbf 50% market share in a transitional year is not necessarily a mind-blowing number. The reason Switch sales are impressive is because of the amount (I think I read this was the best selling year for a console in a decade), not because it sold more than all the other consoles combined (I bet many people would have predicted that, but not many would have guessed just how much Switch sold)

530,000 PS4 were sold in 2013 in UK, 364,000 Xbox One.
Wish we knew more but next gen did over 900,000 in UK.

With old gen sales, i think Switch something in the 1.5 million range.

Do we have a sense of where NSW was through November? ~1.5M sounds like Dec ended up being huge. YTD 2019 > 2020 increase in the vicinity of +60%.
