SuperMassive Games has started hiring for a new, unannounced project. Two of the joblistings (Combat Engineer and Combat Designer) point to this game being a departure from the narrative, cinematics and QTE driven prior games from SuperMassive (Man of Medan, Until Dawn etc). Both listings are looking for somebody with experience in creating "varied and compelling real-time combat". Applicants must "have experience of designing: the rules of combat, enemy behaviours (AI), combat motion fields, player attack trees (hand to hand, weapon based and ranged), levelling up and skill progression spectrums (for combat actions and equipment) and of course levels and spaces to exploit these systems." Another tidbit reads: "as well as player and AI world traversal." suggesting open levels. Other requirements suggest the game using Unreal Engine 4 (like prior SuperMassive Games) and a multi-platform release. (PC, PS4 & XB1 experience required). Its unclear if this is the new game signed with Stadia in July 2020.

At least 8-9 if prior statements still count. Multiple PS Exclusives so that should suggest at least 2. The recently signed Stadia game and 6 more games in the Dark Pictures Anthology. SuperMassive has about 150 staff so I wonder how they'll manage all of that.

Expect two games from The Dark Pictures Anthology per year | TheSixthAxis

When Man of Medan was officially unveiled last year it surprised us for a number of reasons, the recent multiplayer announcements being similarly

Way too many to properly handle them all. All their recent games were received rather lukewarm because they are spreading themselves way to thin across all these games.
