Since I just got a PSVR last month I've been especially interested in getting more games for it. Picked up Wipeout and Farpoint so far.

What is the ERA consensus on

  • Batman: Arkham VR
  • Thumper
  • Statik
Thank you!!!
Statik is nice, was my first VR experience. Puzzles are usually interesting (I had to look one up online). I am probably a bit past halfway, haven't finished because I keep buying new VR games but Statik is still one of my favorites.

I don't even know where to start with sales so large.

Somehow with a sale this large, none of the 14 games in my wishlist are included. I should win a prize.

Yeah like how I'm gonna browse through that. Sony why your store front sucks so much? Where are the filters?

I'm guessing the street fighter collection doesn't have anything the console versions had, right? I'm guessing SFA3 doesn't have World Tour mode?
Are there at least training modes?

It's just easier to go to the store on your console. It's better browsing on PS4 and Vita.
You're fucked on PS3 store though. That thing is awful.

It is in cases like this Sony should get their shit together and improve their store, almost nobody is going to check 12 items at a time to know what to buy / discover on sale when there are 100 titles let alone 1000+, even Weekly Deals section (which is the only place to decently sort items) doesn't have all the items on sale. It wouldn't be that bad if the spotlight sale had 30 items per page like on the rest of the store.

It mostly hurts Indie games and DLCs, there is no way to find about them unless you make sure to add to Wish List every little single thing you are remotely interested in.

Picked up Uncharted TLL, The Last Guardian, and the Colossus remake for $33. This is the sale I've been waiting for.

Some of those Ubisoft prices are jokes though. The PS+ prices for Assassin's Creed 4 and Watch Dogs are $20 each. How are they not $20 at base by now? Black Flag was a launch title.

Anyhoo, if the following sales are this good, I'll definitely be back.

How are people seeing The Last Guardian for $10? It's $19.49 in Canada - exchange rate should be $15ish if $10 USD

Edit--NM ps+ discount didn't show until I clicked on it

Did they ever fix the camera in PixelJunk Monsters 2? So you can see the whole map at once?

Martin Hyper Light Drifter hates going on sale!

I recently bought a ps4, have the typical physical games (God of War etc). Any recommendations for psn shop only exclusives to pick up?
Journey (3$),
God of War 3 Remastered (3$) (if you mean you have GoW2018),
The Order 1886 (3$),
Wipeout,
Bloodborne,
Uncharted, Lost Legacy...

I'm sure there are more, but these ones have insane prices.

Monster Hunter World looks so tempting right now, specially with the newly announced Witcher III tie in content. I love me some Geralt.

I guess my main question concerning the game is how viable it is as a single player game? I've always thought of MH as a multi-player first franchise. I don't mind the ocassional multi-player, by the way, as long as I can play most of the game on my own.

Also, regarding multi-player. How easy is it to hop into other people's games / get other people to join your game? And how grindy is it?

I feel it's a game that ticks a lot of the right boxes for me (I love the Souls series, as well as Nioh and character action games, for what it's worth). I'd love to hear some opinions.

EDIT: Apparently there's a free trial on XBL and PSN until Dec 17. I'll give it a shot, so I'll guess I'll found out for myself. Downloading now.

You can play and beat MHW as single-player. Game assigns A.I. character and your companion cat to help you fight monsters. The game difficulty multiplies with co-op players (and money reward is split) so in a way the game doesn't punish you for playing alone, and somewhat rewards you. However, later missions may get tough and will require you to fire SOS and get co-op players join you. The "single player" aspect (story mode) is very basic and serves as a purpose to introduce new locales and monsters.

Yes, the game is better with friends. Friends can join you by having private or public lobbies or squad lobbies, etc. You can also join other people's quests and help them out. It's a little annoying to get friends join you in main story mode quests as they have cutscenes and you both need to individually see the cutscene before you can join (essentially: watch cutscene, return to base, and join your friend). It's easy to tell when someone can join you (the game will say "You can now use SOS Flare").

I bought it on Black Friday sale, finished the main campaign, clocked in 60+ hours and have been playing co-op events, optional quests, investigations, arenas, expeditions and so much more.

You won't regret it.

OP is an amazing person.

Forgive the newbish question, but if I purchase some PS3 games through Sony's website, I just need to download them through the PS3's PSN whenever I get around to playing them, right?

I really don't feel like hooking up the PS3 until then, but obviously I will if I need to. lol

Week 1 done for me, bought for 20$:
- Murdered Soul Suspect;
- Bloodborne;
- Mr.Shifty;
- The Order: 1886;
- Journey;
- God of War 3 Remastered.

All for fucking 20 Canadian dollars. Tbf already played half of these, but it's nice to have them on the digital collection.

Good lord. I just picked up Shadow of the Colossus, Wipeout Omega, The Last Guardian and Knack 2 for $60. I feel like I'm taking advantage of the PS store.

Is 100 foot robo golf any fun? It looked like a cool idea when it was announced. Might pick it up for $4.00.

Lots of money spent on games I won't ever have time to play:

Bastion
Pyre
Transistor
Grim Fandango
Virginia
Broken Age
The Order 1886
Psychonauts

Don't get much screen time these days so excited to give remote play a crack with some of these ones.
