This news is relevant to my interests.

But makes me sad.

I don't know why Parnas is telling the press all these things but I'm here for it.

My question would be who connected them? Strange coincidence.

IIRC, emptywheel keeps noting Luskin had VP Cheney as a client during Bush II.

The poster you were responding to said "fuck the DSA" because they clearly posted that supply was not a problem, ignoring Bernie's own platform, just to get a burn on Warren.

Obviously it's more complicated but Kirblar is one of the most vocal Bernie haters and when you say shit like "fuck the DSA" and call them "no nothing luddites" and basically trashing Socialists every chance he gets it's toxic. As for whether supply is a problem, it depends on where you live. I understand things are complicated but for example in LA there are more vacant homes than there are homeless people so that's probably where that critique is coming from.

Supply is a major problem and it's disingenuous to try to ding Warren for saying so or boost Bernie's pursuit of rent control as the exclusive real solution to housing when Bernie is also saying that supply is a major problem.

@mkraju
Nunes takes exception to Fiona Hill testimony that some committee members believe "Russia and its security services did not conduct a campaign against our country." He cites GOP 2018 report on Russia probe. She's calling out claims by Nunes and others that Ukraine meddled in '16

David Holmes testifies that policy priorities in Ukraine, including support against Russian aggression, "became overshadowed by a political agenda being promoted by ... Giuliani and a cadre of officials operating with a direct channel to the White House." https://intelligence.house.gov/uploadedfiles/statement_of_david_a_holmes.pdf

Who cares? There are major supply problems in housing and the DSA saying there isng is complete bullshit to try and attack Warren

HOLMES: Given the history of U.S. security assistance to Ukraine ... I was shocked when, on July 18, an Office of Management and Budget staff member surprisingly announced the hold on Ukraine security assistance ... The official said the order had come from the President.

It's really mind-blowing that we don't even flinch now when the President calls politicians human scum and talks like a mob boss. I'd like to think in 2017 that tweet would have at least gotten some outrage but everyone is just so numb now. Even people who follow things closely and take Trump seriously mostly discard 50% of what he says.

I see his tweets, tell him to STFU mentally and then go about my business. He's always crying about something and I don't give a shit anymore. I just want him to go away.

"more vacant homes than there are homeless people" is a complete nonsequitur when talking about the supply problem. You cannot force a private homeowner looking to sell their property to simply allow the homeless and low income to move in because it's a good idea. Even if you could in theory do this, the homeless could not handle the maintenance, utilities, or taxes on such a property, and rarely would it be located near public transportation, social services, or jobs they need to survive.

When people say there is a "supply problem" they explicitly mean there is a lack of affordable and/or subsidized multi-family housing units being built that can accommodate low income adults and families. This housing is explicitly NOT being built where it needs to because of NIMBYism- nobody wants a low income apartment complex or a development of subsidized housing units in their backyard.

My hot take is that there's still 3 months until Iowa and Pete, while currently the flavor of the month, might be surging too soon and can absolutely fall back toward the pack by then.
