I was assuming Warren wanted to see what Biden raised before releasing her fundraising figure... So maybe she'll do it now that he's just going to wait for the statutory requirement.
Wouldn't it be better to release now while order in our government is burning and no headline really has any muster, if it's bad for Biden?

Not really?

Delaying the impact between Sanders raising $25M, Buttigieg raising $19M and even Yang raising $10M... And whatever Biden raised, benefits him trying to retain his frontrunner and electability status.

The news coverage of the actual FEC reports will probably be more muted.

I had a look at the analysis by the NYT of daily fundraising, it looked like outside of his initial announcement period he was doing about $200K a day on average, which would probably see him at $18M... But that assumes he's maintained his fundraising pace.

I expect it to be somewhere above Yang/Harris and somewhere below Buttigieg like circa $15 million or something. Weak frontrunner.

Hillary raised $30M this equivalent quarter.

Geez, I can't believe trump accused schiff of writing the whistleblower complaint. Don Lemon is debunking the whole thing now.

If the "low info voter" cared so much about nepotism then they wouldn't be voting for Trump who is nepotism incarnate especially when it comes to his children. Another case of projection by Trump.

Is there ethics concerns over this Hunter Biden thing? Probably but we are a long ways from that when Trump himself is an ethical crisis. The man does not even know what that means. Every single day he violates ethics just be existing.
Right, but just like with a lot of Hillary's shit, it's way easier to paint the "both sides" narrative even when one side technically did nothing wrong.

Compared to Obama, who made sure to avoid even the appearance of misconduct, so nothing ever struck.

We'll see if this actually sticks. I hope not, but I worry it has potential to be another "emailz"

We're talking 13 days / the day of the next debate, though. When all headlines will then be focused towards the Democratic stage. Sneaking it out now with all that's been dominating the day so far just seems like it wouldn't even be a talking point in the grand scheme of things.

But I don't work on campaigns, so I could be wrong.

The thing of it is, it's not right for Hunter to be up to that shit, dealing in corrupt foreign countries and dictatorships, voters are going to buy the narrative that Joe has *something* to do with it. Probably not anything against professional etiquette and certainly not illegal, but it's the same kind of self-dealing that we see way too much of on both sides of the aisle, even in Bernie's immediate family!

Granted, that makes me wonder if Warren's tied in with any of that, but there's also integrity in Biden coming clean about any of his involvement in Hunter's shenanigans. Just like Anthony Kennedy's kid didn't just happen to be working at Deutsche Bank.

This is no effort to draw false equivalencies, depth and degree, Trump and his family are horrible whereas the kind of soft nepotism around Biden is practically the background radiation of US politics, but that in itself is not a good thing.

Thought I'd have a look back at 2015 fundraising:

Shillary Benghazi
June quarter: $47.5M
Sept quarter: $30M
Dec quarter: $38M

Birdie Slanders
June: $15M ($1.5M in transfers)
Sept: $26M
Dec: $33.5M

Seriously tho, I know why Warren wouldn't want to give Wohl the time of day, but someone should throw a lawyer at him and make an example of him. It's textbook slander.

also, I don't want to buy into conspiracy theories, but...

Trump's team is really desperate to make Hunter Biden happen.

Hunter will never happen.

"Why do you insist on asking why I was on the security cam footage at that art gallery breakin, when this new painting looks so good over my mantle?"

If Biden can be taken out with a phony investigation then Warren can too.

Plus it sets the tone: either countries can waltz on in and shatter candidates who'll play hardball with them, or candidates can extort countries to do that all Chekist-like like they did Zelinskyy.

We actually had a Trump protester interrupt her speech. Took a few minutes to get him out too. Was surprised, but Warren wasn't really fazed, the crowd basically drowned him out.
