I've been saying this for awhile: it should be the Utah Grunge. It makes as much sense as a team here being the Utah Jazz. They can have a whole music genre theme going.
The Hive name is kind of a thing for them. Lots of bee related names in that area.
You know, mormons tend to have lots of kids, bees tend to be numerous, etc
Should really be Utah Raptors like MoonsaultSlayer said earlier.

If they become the Yeti, will the Kraken change their mascot to an actual tentacle monster? I know Buoy is a sea troll, but they are just gonna look the same. If so, that gets my vote. I want my squid boy mascot.
Utah Yeti, Utah Hive and Utah Swarm are the best names. Utah Yeti rolls off the tongue the best, but Utah is also the beehive state, so Hive and Swarm are fitting names.
Apparently its a reference to Utah's diamond mining industry. Or something like that.

I don't think this is right. Black Diamonds are difficult ski slopes/routes. Utah is known for skiing and not diamond mining. I can't imagine that it's not the skiing reference.
Yeti slowly growing on me. But the Avalanche used to have the best shoulder patch and mascot. So I would be bitter.
They should take that name and retire jersey number 30 to the rafters for He Hate Me.
Squall and Freeze are decent - that's where I put my votes. Utah HC is so dumb I hope it's that.

I guess Yeti is the best of the options. I generally prefer more personified, plural names to singular, "conceptual" names like "Squall" or "Wild" or whatever. It's also alliterative with "Utah", which sounds nice.
