I didn't know this until very recently when I saw some video about the new Tony Hawk remake.

Yeah, I saw this a couple years ago on a talk that Pitfall's creator was doing at a show, talking about how the game was made and programming tricks and stuff. At one point he shows this commercial and says "And yes, that's Jack Black..." Blew my mind at the time.
