I have been using Chrome exclusively now for a few years. Due to recent developments at work regarding apps I have to switch to Firefox when doing work related stuff.
This got me thinking if I should move all my business to Firefox.

Are there certain pros and cons to Chrome and Firefox? Is one of those objectively better? What say you, Era?

Vivaldi. I only use Windows currently and Vivaldi's been the best. All the apps of Chrome with 1% of the crashes. On mobile: AdBlock Browser

I don't have too much preference of firefox vs chrome, as I use both anyway. I would stick with either one of the two though. On my work computer, which is a mac I also use safari but it has certain issues with a few sites, like slack and toggl.

I'll probably be in the minority, but Microsoft Edge is good for me on Windows. Also use Chrome but it's a resource hog on weak systems.

Chrome. It's the most popular web browser in the world for a reason. "Jack of all trades, master of none" is both a criticism and a compliment, depending on how you look at it. I view it as a huge compliment.

Of course, if you have specific feature requests or priorities then you're better off just researching what's best for you. But if a random person asked me what browser I recommend with no additional information, then Chrome is the easiest response.

I use Chrome but I know I need to change. It's bloated and sluggish compared to the real players. Switching is always a pain. I'm getting there!

IE6 used to be the most popular browser in the world. People stick to what they're used to no matter how bad it becomes.

Nope, Flash is slowly being removed from Chrome. It's disabled by default, you have to specifically click on Flash elements to enable it, and it'll be removed for good in a few years apparently.
I was partially joking, but I suspect Chrome did get a huge start due to being a self-contained flash player. It was the most secure and fast porn viewer back when most sites required flash.

On PC, it's a mix between Firefox and Edge.

Majority of my browsing is done with Firefox. I use Edge for the Microsoft Rewards program, build up points and spend on whatever I feel like redeeming.

On iOS, I just use Safari with an ad blocker. There's probably much better options available, but I got use to Safari so no point in looking elsewhere.

I've been using chrome since about 2011. But recently switched to firefox because chrome would stall and freeze way too often.

Firefox is great.

Chrome is basically unusable for me because the UI can't handle large numbers of tabs.

I was using Chrome for years, but since the update I have gone back to Firefox. It's pretty good.

The new Firefox (57+) is very good. With a couple of add ons (ublock origin, privacy badger) it's great.

I am using chrome since I can remember and it has not failed me in a way I would want to change browsers.

Time to give Vivaldi a try. Seems to be compatible with Chrome extensions.

Firefox turned from the best browser into the worst browser I've ever used since the new update.

Firefox. Has gotten a lot better in the last few years, and google have definitely taken the foot off the accelerator for chrome as of late.
