What's the worst spin-off game of a popular franchise...of all time?

I don't know if they count but I hate the Game Gear versions of Sonic and Sonic 2. They're terrible to play.
This game's worst crime was that it was just a regular soccer game with Mega Man slapped on it.
It has to be mega man soccer.
Not great but not horrible on the same level of something like Sonic Chronicles lol.
Out of curiosity, what's so bad about it?

That's not a spinoff and it's by far not the worst sonic game. It's terrible sure, but sonic has had some really shitty titles.
It's amiibo festival and nothing else is even close.

Sonic 1 Master System is absolutely fantastic and there's an argument to be made that it's better than the Mega Drive version.
Sonic Boom is a spin-off tho I do agree on the possibility of finding worse spin offs. Sonic Free Riders qualifies I think.
It's 100% a spinoff, made by some random studio simply to go with their upcoming TV show.

I vote for Amiibo Festival or Mario Pinball Land. Mario Pinball Land isn't as bad as something like Amiibo Festival, but it's crazy that a relatively recent Mario game could play so poorly. I have no idea what they were thinking. It's by far the worst pinball game on the GBA.

I would hardly say this as its a good action game and plays well far from being mediocre let alone bad.
Sonic Labyrinth and Sonic Blast are worse. Either one of them, probably Sonic Blast because how do you fuck up "traditional" Sonic gameplay that bad after Triple Trouble, is IMO the worst Sonic of all time.

Nah it's a fantastic videogame. It might not be the DMC game you were hoping for but calling it the worst spin-off game is not fair.

Not even the worst Mega Man spin off. Its mediocre at best though. But stuff like Mega Man X Math Tornado (Asia only PC release) is more of a cash in for sure. I still own it though!

Yeah, but Sticker Star killed everything GOOD about Paper Mario.
The Paper Mario series itself is still a spin-off of Mario though.
In terms of gameplay and presentation, Sticker Star might as well be a spin-off lol
