Mainly because my first exposure to both were Titanic and Good Will Hunting, both of which came out at the same time and they were both young blonde haired actors. Matt Damon's hair in that movie also looked like Leo's:

Kind of funny. They're also both in The Departed from 2006 where they both have huge roles but don't see each other till the end of the movie.

Nah, for me its Jake Gyllenhall and Ryan Gosling. They're both the same age, both make good modern films, and both look almost exactly the same.
