Hmmmm, not that I have seen at least.
That's what my dad had, and the complete LOTR one in red.
This is the one my dad has and is my favorite cover of pretty much any book.
My mum's 1981 paperbacks.
By the looks of the vintage bookmark and quality of the cover, nobody got to book 3.
This is actually the exact set that I have.. lol
The version from the copy I read, i always thought it was boring as fuck for a cover

I've always liked the ones like those that use Tolkien's own art.I know I had the first two here growing up. Can't say that I recall the second two, but I must have had those too.
The Finnish edition in picture is in print. I don't think there is an English edition with Tove's illustrations. As a BIG Moomins when I was a kid, this cover is… genuinely beautiful.
Is it available to buy, or is this now considered a rare-ish edition?
Yeah I came in to post these, have always been my favourites but I'm a sucker for a beautiful hardback copy of anything
Wow that's the copy I've always had and I've never ever noticed Bilbo before lolThe version from the copy I read, i always thought it was boring as fuck for a cover
and the cover from The Hobbit I read, i never noticed Bilbo on the cover until I got to that part of the story and I flipped back to the cover and was surprised he was there all the time!
I have that and the LotR in red hardback as well. Got them as gifts over a decade ago and love them.
Bought this version of The Hobbit a few years ago that I read to my daughter annually.
Anywho, difficult choice between Dolph fantasizing over Gimli's hair, and sleep paralysis demon Gollum.
This is absolutely magical, witch king and his dinky dagger, his one very human leg, his stoned mount
These are the ones I own. They came in a little cardboard box/sleeve.I had (have) these Geoff Taylor's illustration for the covers of the three books in "The Lord Of The Rings" trilogy.
I know I had the first two here growing up. Can't say that I recall the second two, but I must have had those too.
