That's right, he will start over again and again and again until he dwelled his thirst for blood. Poor Kratos, he will never find peace, Mario will be his worst nightmare unleashed, it's kinda sad.

Besides, gods can actually die, Kratos proved that time and time again, maybe some one else will finish the job even before Mario, who knows?

Kratos proved it, the greek and nordish mythology proved it, several games proved it, several comics, movies and series that use gods as characters proved it. And Mario haves toonforce and accomplished "canonically" feats like warping through multiple parallel universes in an instant. it's so obvious that Mario will win. Not just by a small margin, but by multiple parallel universes. ;)

Kratos also proved that he couldn't die. Lol. Three chest impales later and the fucker is still up and running.

Yeah but Mario dies by touching a turtle or a plant
By the same rules Mario kills by simply jumping on the head of the enemies, and Kratos can't even jump on the latest GoW game.

The two games have completely different rules and power levels, but while GoW attempts to have a relatively consistent universe and characters, Mario games do whatever they want with the characters, so there's not really anything that prevents Mario to throw Cappy at Kratos and become an inmortal God (that can jump).

Kratos can't be controlled so that wouldn't work.

Eh. The gods in-universe can die, Kratos is just stubborn. Even he can be killed, they just need to do it well enough that he can't come back again. Think of it like Perfect Cell. You just gotta make sure he can't come back.

In the Mario universe they never specified it was a way of control, it may be Mario fusing with the enemy or some other shit. As I said before, Mario has never cared about consistent lore and making any sense, which makes him practically invincible.

That's what is called... Toonforce. serious characters can't compete with Toonforce that is not bound by any rules of reality. You can easily bring an outer multiversal reality-warping god into Smash and he still loses to Mario. That's it.

Been a while since I played Odyssey but doesn't the T Rex kick you out even if you control him? Kratos is a more powerful being than a T rex.

I wouldn't compare Kratos surviving a bit of impaling(even Joel can live through at least one and he's just a mere human) to surviving one of Marios divebombs that let the whole world tremble. And that's just one of his weaker power ups, if Kratos is lucky he will resign before Mario gets out the cat suit.

Kratos can get his ass wiped by a rapping dog that doesn't have any previous experience in combat (PSABR). Mario easily wins this one even before he builds up enough momentum to hop through multiple parallel universes and starts his reality-shattering punch.

Nah. Not only Mario can kill Kratos, Kirby wouldn't even have to try, and any other cartoon character would do it because those games are not bound to consistent rules.

Kratos got his ass already wrecked by Toonforce-characters (Parappa, Sackboy, Fat Princess, Sir Daniel Fortesque) in sony-approved media: Playstation Allstar Battle Royale. Mario can easily fatality Kratos with his PU-hopping powers.

I mean if we are factoring in PS ASBR then we can factor in Smash where Dog Hunt kicked everyone's ass.

Yep, in the same game Kat was banned in tournaments because she was too strong, clearly being stronger than Kratos.

That's correct. Toonforce isn't bound by any rules. Stan Lee once already said that in a crossover the character that the author prefers is going to win, no matter what the characters previously achieved. Toonforce ignores power level tables that fanboys jerk off on even more.

People wank anyone with the title of "God" so much that it's not even funny. It's so ubiquitous of a title. There's no way a god from God of War is comparable to, say, Marvel Thor.

Same thing for immortal. Most of the time it only means "can't die of old age." Surviving multiple stab wounds does not, in fact, make you unkillable.

So it comes down to physical stats and abilities. And Mario has Kratos beat so damn hard in both it's not even funny. Dude can kick castles away, survive black holes, and more.

And abilities? Star power makes him completely invincible (outside of lava and poison), gold flower turns literally anything into coins, double cherry makes copies of himself, and many more. Plus he's shown he can carry multiple of these at a time.

All of this is ignoring the rpgs btw. Even just restricting it to Mario & Luigi games, it'll give him access to dozens of badges and equipment, some of which are completely broken. Bottomless gloves, in probably the most infamous example, lets Mario use any power-up or item in his inventory without removing it.

That's endless amounts of fire flowers, mushrooms, hp restoring items, sp restoring items, stars, etc. Mario could spam each of those to his heart's content.

Mario wins.

As i've said: BLJ. Backwards Long Jumps allow Mario to hop across multiple Parallel Universes in a split pico second. It's not just a meme from the video linked on page 1 of the thread, it's a real speedrun-technique. If you really want to apply pseudo-realistic stuff onto that fight, imagine the kinetic power that applies to a punch with the power of a PU-BLJ amplified to the max. That's like a trillion times faster than the speed of light.

Thanks for the idea. Let's visualize my post:

We all know why mario wears overalls all the time, it's cause you can clean them more easily :)
