Still be better of then if you had the General for insurance
Or would they be on some bullshit? Would they use the old "no body, you got to wait 7 years" or "Act of God"?
But how am I going to save some time?
Yeah, force majuere is the correct answer here. They would file it under Act of God (or Force majeure) and no one we get anything.
Not really. Most of the snapped would be countries like India, China, etc. because of their population levels. Only way it happens if by the roll of the dice all the competent people and enforcement agencies were snapped.Society would collapse after the Snap, so insurance companies and payouts would be irrelevant.
Depends on what half was wiped out.Insurance companies wouldnt exist anymore . A snap that wipes out half of humanity will also wipe out society as we know it.
I approve of this joke.
No, they wouldn't cover it. If they did then they would all go out of business.
they dont? whats the point then?
Is anyone outside of the Avengers even aware of Thanos and what he did? To the rest of the world wouldn't it be a huge mystery, and therefore quite possibly an act of god? They would file it under Act of God (or Force majeure) and no one we get anything.
Probably the same thing would happen that happened after Sept 11 in terms of terrorism coverage. After that carriers started explicitly excluding acts of terrorism but since there was a need for this coverage the federal government stepped in and offered a backstop for carriers so that they could provide the coverage. The snap would not qualify as an act of terrorism, but after the first attack on new York Carriers would exclude loss caused by extraterrestrial beings since it is an uninsurable event. Given the attack on ny there would be a need for this coverage so the federal government in the US (and likely other countries) would offer a backstop so carriers could provide this coverage.Even if there was no exclusion, every company would immediately become bankrupt because they wouldn't be able to pay the claims.
Not necessarily true. A flood is considered an act of God and there is coverage for this through the federal government. For these types of uninsurable events the federal government often times steps inThey would file it under Act of God (or Force majeure) and no one we get anything.
That's literally like the plot of one character in The Leftovers.
