Hospital bills would easily be five to six times that in the US. Hell nah.

No. Even ignoring crippling injuries and brain damage, the medical bills are likely to exceed $1,000 a month.

Might be one of the more silly polls I've seen.

For 12k a year, I might get my shit pushed in EVERY month. 1000 a month ain't shit, fam.

You gotta sweeten the pot. Make it actually worth it for someone to risk getting their ass kicked.

If you would have said 10000k a month, at least you got the young folks with bills to pay and chips on their shoulders to seriously think about it. 100k a year makes it worth hitting the gym and taking some MMA training.

Hmmm no. Not worth the risk of a traumatic brain injury.

Plus I'm super skinny and have never been in a fight so I'd get tuned the fuck up.

I'm thankful that I'm paid generously enough that I would never need to join a fight club for money lol.

But the most hilarious (depressing) part of this thread is all the Americans worrying more about going bankrupt from hospital bills rather than actually having to join a fight club.

£1000 has to be the entry fee at the bare minimum. If it was a 10k prize fee and if there were weight classes I'd probably do it tbh.

Is this a weekly or monthly thing?
At first I was thinking an extra 1k a month to beat and get beat on sounded kinda fun. But now I am sitting in bed, sick from a cold, and I'm dreading having to call into my job to call out. It's the busiest day of the week for us and I know it's gonna suck for my coworkers. I'm gonna feel that vague sense of guilt for calling out almost all day. And then I started imagining being guilt tripped by my job AND fight club and I just don't want that type of pressure. There's certainly gonna be days where I just am not up for being punched in the nose. Is my Fight Club supervisor gonna pull a "we really need you to come in today. We're understaffed and every fight counts"? Damn my physical health, my peace of mind is worth more than an extra 1k a month. 😤

Thread title and OP don't match. Either way for 1000 or 4000 per month it wouldn't be a smart choice. Even with only one weekly fight the compounding pain and injury would catch up with you quickly making it unmanageable.

As you did not pick a specific fight club i will just assume it's an underground mud wrestling circuit and pick yes

Said Yes but really meant No. Sounds like easy money but to do it month in and month out. Yeah not worth it. Maybe do it one month and hope I don't get beat too bad.

Absolutely not lmao

Anyone desperate enough to consider this probably shouldn't be wasting time on ResetEra lol

I think that if you accept it for $1000 you would accept it just as a hobby anyway lol, in this case just go to a gym

If you are in US it makes even less sense because you would be in debt for healthcare

No.

Don't need the money.

Don't want to assault anyone.

Don't want to get injured.

I feel like 1k a month wouldn't even cover the medical bills from being beaten up constantly.

$1000 per fight and it might be worth it

Any medical bills would have to be covered and some science shit to repair brain damage perfectly would be needed.

Yeah, I probably would. I don't think it'd be that bad and sometimes a little pain is fine to keep you on your toes and I can take care of myself.

This is weird poverty porn.

Join a union instead of a fight club.

Yeah, depending on where you live, you going to have an easier time finding an underground fight club than a union to join

For me, regularly getting my ass kicked =/= $1000 per month.
