Last year, Oculus announce that users can connect Oculus Quest to a PC via Oculus Link, using a USB cable, but it has to be a USB3.0. This allows Oculus Quest to act as a PCVR headset, making it even more versatile (I used it to complete Half-Life: Alyx, lol)

Oculus has a public test channel which you can opt in to beta test some upcoming features. One of the latest beta features that drops into the public test channel recently, is the ability to let you use Oculus Link via a USB 2 cable. This includes the USB 2.0 cable that comes with the Oculus Quest, which means Quest users can now use Oculus Link out of the box with a PC. In other words, any USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 now works with Oculus Link (though of course, USB 3.0 is still preferred and recommended), opening even up more and cheaper options to users. Just make use it has a type C connector on one end to plug into the Quest.

According to impressions, the performance on USB 2.0 cable has no noticeable difference compared to current USB 3.0, so I guess the feature will be coming to public release in the near future.

In short, opt in to public test channel, and you can use either USB2.0 or USB3.0 cable to connect Quest to a PC to run PC VR games including Half-Life: Alyx, Asgard's Wrath etc.
