My spicy BBQ wings get dipped in Ranch, so it's Ranch as a dipping sauce.

Came in to vote for Sweet & Sour Sauce. It's the only dipping sauce I've ever used across my 44 years. It's not an option in the poll. Oh, well.

...granted, I barely ever dip. Only for chicken nuggets, I think.

Glad I don't use hot sauce for dipping since I chose ranch. I'll just drizzle my hot sauce over what I'm eating like a normal person and continue to dip in ranch.

here
imo hot sauce is a nessisary condiment to always have on hand because a lot of american dishes are bad at balancing

they lean heavier into the sweet and savory, the heavy, the rich

you need some standby acid to help cut through the richness

BBQ sauce. Unless for "mustard" I could use McDonalds Hot Mustard. Then it would be that.

If it means I can still order hamburgers and barbecue pork slathered in their appropriate condiments, I'll choose ranch.

Just dipping? Some of these are useful in multiple ways but kinda suck/lose their luster if I'm forced to dip.
