Strategy games are probably my least-favorite genre.

Racing sims and fighting games are right behind it.

Hate is such a robust expression when it comes to gaming. I´m personally not fond of sports and MOBA-genres. Or any online/multiplayer games.

Wow literally thought every answer here and i cant say i hate them. I may not play them very much but why would i hate it ? lmao so stupid.
I dont play any modern RTS but red alert is my favorite game. I dont like moba's much but LOL and HOTS were pretty fun at times in old days.FIFA and PES were fun also FIFA Street was cool game at time. I played some of Gran Turismo campaign back in PS2 and PS3 and they were pretty fun to be honest even played with controller. I love fighting games.

Stealth. Stealth. Stealth. Anything stealth. I hate it when developers force stealth missions in games that aren't stealth games. Did I mention that I hate stealth?

I don't hate any genres, all of them have games that I'm into.

But I'd say that generally, the genre with the least games that I'm into is the pure puzzle genre.

As a big fan of arcade racers: Racing simulators. They're no fun if you're not seriously into cars. Those games, like Gran Turismo and Forza, are generally catered to the people who have encyclopedic info on every auto brand.

I prefer racers whose cars have no brand at all.

I don't want to say turn based strategy games, because I love Fire Emblem. But whatever you would classify the Civ games as. I have bought all of them + their expansions since IV but can't get more than a couple turns in without wanting to take a nap.

I don't hate a genre. I have probably played all of them and even with one I don't like, I can still find a game that I enjoy.

As for the genre I don't prefer the most, it's probably roguelike. I hate removing character progress that I've built up.

RPG's/Tuning/Customization... basically anything that keeps me in a menu and not in the action.

Also, honorable mention to the telltale like games.

Sim racing.

I get that you need to put a lot of time and effort into it before it gets fun, but my previous attempt to do so was a total waste of time.

I can't relate to MOBA's at all. Almost everything else I will at least dabble in from time to time, even if infrequently, but MOBAs are just too unwelcoming for me to have any fun, and I have no interest in conquering that.

Oh, also sports management sims. Like Championship Manager or whatever. I don't know what the hell that shit is even.

I don't "hate" any genre but fighting games are my least played.

I'm not very competitive and also not usually technically skilled in games so I never gravitated to them. I see the appeal though.

Fighting games for sure. They feel like they've barely progressed since the early 90s and I get bored with them still being nothing but squaring up against 1 person and doing combos for 30 second matches or whatever they last for.

Racing is a pretty close second though. I can't stand going around in circles X amount of times. The mindless repetition drives me crazy.

Sports, FPS, MOBA. In this order I think.
By sports I mean simulations. If it's funny like Mariokart or F-Zero, it can be OK. But FIFA & co, I don't care at all. FPS are not far behind, I rarely enjoy that genre because I don't like first person view at all.

Roguelikes.

I don't like the idea of going through the same area again and again with permadeath. Something like Binding of Isaac was just no fun for me.

I don't hate genres, but I just can't play strategy games. Like, it's way too convoluted for me for some reason. It's a shame because I wanted to get further in Disgaea 1, but I just couldn't.

I just can't seem to get into first-person games, even when they're on a franchise I otherwise love (such as Metroid). They're just too claustrophobic and unnerving for me, especially since first-person perspectives in games (at least non-VR ones) lack any kind of peripheral vision.

I can't say hate, because that would be like I was forcing myself to play a bunch of shit I don't enjoy. I will however say I severely dislike a lot of genres equally.

"The Dark Souls of" anything.

J/K, I just hate when people say that.

Real answer: visual novels. It's takes something that's quite enjoyable (reading a book) and makes it annoying by feeding you one line at a time.

Rogue like games. I've tried several and that gameplay style just doesn't gel with me

Not really hate, but I'm not fond of Tower Defense, Real Time Strategy, City Building/ CMS/ God Games, and most western developed third person action games.

Casual games, I guess.

I have to agree, for lack of a better term. When I became a dad last year, I did some searching for "casual" games, meaning games that I could have fun with for like 30 minutes and then put them down. Searching for casual games brought waves of shitty mobile-style clicker games or other nonsense like that. Terrible.

So I guess casual is my most hated genre, while I still continue to search for more games that I can enjoy without playing for hours on end.

I don't hate a genre. I really dislike RPG's tho.

Edit: I feel like I don't belong on this forum, haha. I love my FIFA, RTS games and simulation.

My least fave is SIM-like sports games.

Sports

I would play a new nfl blitz though.

Sports games. Don't care honestly.

Sports followed by Racing
Are all of you referring to sims mainly or does that include arcade sports titles.

There's definitely some fantastic arcade sports titles like Rocket League, NHL HITZ series, Mario Tennis, Mario Strikers, Rockstars Table Tennis, and the GOAT
