Canceled my controller purchase :( not in a position to send it back and I'm worried they won't even fix it, just send me back a black controller. Wish they would've revealed the Elite 3 alongside this.

I think we still have some time for the Elite 3. Elite 1 came out in 2015 and Elite 2 in 2019.
Not even counting any possible covid delays and I'd say we have at least a couple years until the elite 3.

This worked for me! Last part was hardest it would try loading the review your order page but back out a bunch of times. One time it actually went through.

Ive done it via paypal credit basically pay it back as soon as you can basically like a credit card. Also MS have said in email to me wont charge me until closer to the date
I generally don't have issues with PayPal, but one thing to keep in mind is that with some retailers (like Best Buy) if you use PP for a preorder you'll get charged for it upfront, but if you use a card you won't get charged 'til the item ships.
That was my thinking. It sounds like if you want to play competitive multiplayer then the Elite really is a quantum leap on standard controllers, that's exactly what I'm after and I don't want to wait another couple of years.

Had the damn console pre-ordered but cancelled it for this very reason. I want the non-elite controller as well since my PC is absolutely fine (handles Halo Infinite beyond the recommended settings) and have zero need/want for an XSX.

It's weird because I tried for like 40 minutes just hitting F5 and slamming the mouse button and nothing. But then I saw that other guys post, tried it again for a minute and eventually it spun for a little bit where the PLACE ORDER button shows up and then it went through

Just generally being charged later then credit card pre-orders (and consequently dispatched later), and sometimes problems with the payment requiring the customer to change their method.
I'm just worried because of it being a limited release, and somehow I feel that if something goes wrong I will lose my chance and the console goes to someone else. It's stupid, but that already happened to me with another store.
Never had any of those issues. But Microsoft won't charge until order goes to shipping.
There are sometimes issues when buying things online form small stores that allow PayPal where they have to wait for the money to be processed to verify the transaction but that isn't going to be a thing with Microsoft or a large retailer.
I got my Series X at launch and they billed my card the same day it went for shipping.
Does the controller actually have texture where the lines are "cutting into" the controller? or is it just a flat print?
There is a line assuming its like the normal elite series 2 controller
So far for the US at least, yeah. It's only been listed on the Microsoft store so far. Gamestop may sell some but they haven't listed anything yet
