If you mean the Avengers in general, Steve put the Stones back from the moment they were taken. So chronologically, it was like they never left (as Hulk said). If you mean Steve spending his life with Peggy, it's likely because he didn't take an Infinity Stone from its intended place in history (which, as the Ancient One said, creates time branches that break reality). Mobius even mentioned in one of the trailers that taking the Space Stone was what broke reality.
Thanks! And they weren't bothered by 2014 Thanos being killed in 202x (whenever Endgame is supposed to happen)?

I'm super excited for this show, I plan to stay up tonight to watch~!

Loki is one of my fave gods from any mythology and also one of my faves from the MCU so I really hope this solo show does him justice. ^^

MCU time travel rules basically state that changes to the timeline can't cause paradoxes. You're just changing the present time itself. So killing 2014 Thanos in 2024 just means that 2014 Thanos is dead.

I can't wait to see how it explains why they arrest Loki and not the Avengers. Without read any spoilers or anything at all, I predict the big bad will be

Another version of Loki

The episodes dropping in the middle of the night is great, because then I don't feel pressured to watch it as soon as possible, since a consistent sleep schedule leads to a healthy lifestyle.

Really really wish Disney+ would just adopt a primetime drop for these Marvel/Star Wars shows. get everyone watching at the same time, get maximum social media engagement too!

Yeah, I don't quite get the 3am/12am timing for new episodes of stuff. I could see 12am/9pm, for a "midnight launch" that the hardcore can stay up for, or a 9pm/6pm "evening launch" for the primetime demographic, but with the current system you've got the hardcore watching on the west coast and everyone else waiting until the next day.

I'm glad I can work from home and put it on while "working" in the morning, though.

Maybe they don't want to deal with the server load of more people watching at the same time?

Because Disney is a global platform and not everything has to revolve around what is the best time just for USA.

Yeah, but 3am EST is like 7am UTC. Like, the only people that get to watch Disney+ premieres conveniently at "launch time" are people living in the middle of the Pacific Ocean (and I guess Australia, good for them). Everyone else has to deal with it unlocking in the middle of the night or at some arbitrary point in the middle of the workday.

The fact they launch at midnight Pacific time is BECAUSE the schedule revolves around the US market, it's just does so in a way that's antiquated and kind of dumb.

A lore question for the specialists : how come the TVA didn't intervene in Endgame?
According to one of the reviews, this gets addressed in the first two episodes.

I don't think this needs to be spoilered, but I've seen some truly extreme attitudes on spoilers from posters on here, so I always err on the side of caution.

It's most likely synced to midnight west coast because Hollywood but the vast majority of the US being asleep is most definitely a major benefit. Lets them regulate the initial influx of server traffic enough that by the time most of the US is hopping on to watch the servers are guaranteed to handle it.

They should adopt Netflix style dropping every episode and spreading server load if they are worried about something like that. It sucks to wait week to week and at the midnight each episode at that...

Dunno if I'll go to sleep or stay up for this. New episodes dropping on Wednesdays also feels super weird lol.

It is absolutely a server load thing. They have to deal with crashes even when they've chosen a time that's maximally inconvenient for the largest number of people. Imagine how much the servers would struggle if it came out at US Primetime.

Staying up and extremely excited for this. My hope is that it corrects my main issue with WandaVision and Falcon (where every single episode is fantastic but the series doesn't fully stick the landing as it should).

Weekly episodes drives engagement way more than all at once which drives more people to watch.

Wrong, in London, I get to watch the D+ shows with breakfast before work, perfect timing if you ask me.

what was the original Joss Whedon related thread title? just morbidly curious I guess.

also, I was just fooled into thinking the first episode had already dropped by an ad saying "now streaming". not even the first time this happened to me, they can't keep getting away with this.

The original title I was asked to use by the former OP was Joss' way of getting the c-word in & was very sexist. I wasn't aware of it at the time, but I requested that the title be changed as soon as I was told about it.
