So the guy who tossed the drink is now arrested.

And the kid is just posting shit on instagram like this... look at this fucking cunt:

This was the most predictable thing ever.

If that was my kid, I'd burn all that stuff, trash his phone and make him beg me to not send him to some sort of isolated youth camp somewhere in a different country.

Turns out the theft arrest was a felony state charge, not a misdemeanor. Jesus christ.

http://apps.bexar.org/cmagsearchlist/ListDetails.aspx?detail=1937259

Because the hat is obviously not that valuable, under Texas law this would potentially indicate a criminal record.

So...

Dude's a bartender. After getting off work (2am - bars close at 2am in SA) he goes to a Whataburger to get dinner. While there, he overhears a bunch of little cunts talking racist shit and out of emotion tosses a drink at them and takes a hat.

Misdemeanor theft at best here. Maybe, MAYBE assault.

So, he was wanted for something else and this just got him facetime on media and probably accelerated that?

I'm trying to understand what point you're trying to make.

I find it hard to believe he did this simply because they were wearing that hat. Though I have to say if one decides to wear that hat in public they have to know they are doing so to elicit a response. It has become a symbol of white supremacy, the phrase MAGA is a dog whistle of white supremacy, and the people still wearing it are white supremacists. So even if he wasn't saying racist things before hand he was looking for that sort of response.

If they were spouting racist comments before hand I probably would have recorded it and reported them to the police for hate speech and conspiracy to commit violence if they were indeed talking about hanging and real life purge stuff, but I also wasn't there and have the power of hindsight. Giving these guys the bbq Becky treatment at their age would have been more damaging than a soda to the face.

The point? Black people shouldn't confront their oppressors. That's the point.

Holy shit some of you guys are really not doing liberals any favors

Did you just imply a minor you have never met in your life advocates for genocide because he was wearing a MAGA hat, and then smugly talk about context?

Trump is rounding up pocs into camps already and planning invasions of non-white countries. The kid and his family are the enemy. No sympathy for him. You can either be a Democrat or you're an enemy of the people and we will show you no quarter. At this point ti should be treason to wear that fucking hat.

I get the pun - the song, etc... but seriously, his parents have to be pushing this on him or he's just riding this to be a controversial "teenager."
Yeah as others have said, it's not just parents. My Sister is a Democrat that doesn't vote and her husband a Republican that doesn't vote. They have their opinions but not extreme, mostly indifferent. And yet my nephew is alt-right. he gets it from places like youtube mostly. 15.

These children need to be taken away from their parents; raising your kid to be a stupid racist with no self-awareness is literal abuse.

I'm trying to understand what point you're trying to make.

That your supposed swish was an air ball and that this action accomplished nothing. If anything, this increases the victimization complex of the right.

The results are clear:
- Story goes viral
- Lost his job
- Got doxxed
- Arrested on a felony charge

How does this help our cause? "Well people will be more scared to walk out with a MAGA hat now"

No. Its Texas. What people will start doing is carrying a gun when they walk out with a MAGA hat now.

But thats the thing. The guy who threw the soda wasn't even a fucking democrat.

Yeah, unfortunate how it played out. Can't blame the guy for what he did though.

Perhaps it's time to start considering splitting this country into the sane and the insane...

They would rather push the colored and their white allies into the sea then even share the same land.

Existing to make "the other" angry and suffer is what racism is all about. It's just modern day racism.

So what? It's impossible to increase the victimization complex of Republicans, it's always at max no matter what we do. And people with MAGA hats already carry guns around in Texas. Big deal.

You think being nice and civil to these people is going to make them come around?

Nope. But neither is this. Take every situation in context rather than blanket condone/condemn.

Punching Richard Spencer at a protest is a little different than throwing soda in a random snot nosed teen's face at whataburger. You can't see that?

Lots of support on this board for a Jill Stein voter. Strange bedfellows I guess.

Jill Stein is hot garbage.

Fighting fascism is aight tho.

That I'll concede, dude was having a bad day and the kid makes it worse and now he's paying for it for going beyond "free speech" when dealing with him.

But to like start further delegitimizing the guy by going "SURPRISE HE'S GREEN PARTY" when a lot of people wish they could dunk on MAGA bros is a little suss.

Is it really that hard to believe? You have many in this very thread praising his actions, making comments about how he should have gone further, and that anyone wearing clothing with MAGA on it should be treated in a similar fashion. It's also fascinating that so many here are advocating for physically assaulting minors when we are still waiting on all the facts of the situation to come out.

I am advocating public shaming of any MAGA apparel. So are many others. Not everyone here is saying "beat the shit out of anyone you see wearing MAGA."

This. Also, "trolling" is such a useless term anyway. We don't know if the person means the words or not on the internet, but it doesn't even matter, the end result is the same for example, whether they say they hate Black people to make a liberal mad or if they say they hate Black people because they actually mean it.

You think I'm attacking women here? Let's stay on topic

Think about what you say. The fact you are likening people you don't like to bitches is inadvertently attacking them. It's like if some one used being black (but a more offensive word) as a way of describing some one they think is faulty. I'm honestly sick of seeing people use pussy, bitchy etc as insults and when we are discussing racism it's extra annoying. You are asking other people to be more aware, well try being more aware yourself.

As for staying on topic, would you also say that to some one who got offended at some one using a likening to being black as an insult in a thread not about racism?

I have a bigger problem with the reporting about this. Feeds the fake victim complex that conservatives use to justify their fascism.

Heavy is reporting that Kino was a Green Party member (who has now been banned from the party)

You wanna wear a MAGA hat in public?

Or you just playing that middle man?

Sorry, bro. If people want to publicly proclaim they are racist pieces of shit that support Trump, deal with the push back.

Trust it is. People think Lucasfilm and The Last Jedi hate white men.

There is nothing more to be done to make the right feel more like victims even from their positions of absolute privilege, they already make shit up and repeat it in their propaganda bubbles.

No one is going to vote for trump because some dumbass kids had their hat taken

Imagine if all you guys standing up for racists throwing around death threats at a burger joint at 2 AM actually cared about how these trash kids and their trash parents affect those around them.

Worried about the kids who have to go to school with these idiots who are just feeling more and more emboldened to run their mouths?

Didn't think so.
