kane will breathe with his mouth as he always do, swallow a moth as he's most likely used to, choke in traditional tottenham style and fuck the deciding penalty over

I'm fully pumped up for Eng v Cro on Wednesday, I have no doubts that it'll be a tough match for England but I'm 100% behind our boys.

While Colombia was a tough match, it was only tough due to the dirtiness of the match.

Sweden wasn't all that tough. We expected them to be, but they really just fell into England's playing style.

This will be a proper match. I've been impressed by Croatia performance in this tournament and I look forward to seeing it.

I'm a little confused why a non-English person made this thread but okay. Hopefully, Croatia isn't too knackered to give them a good game. The final though if they get there....Belgium already beat them and France looks like they can do better. Home Status = maybe.

The world just shot themselves in the foot.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about English football (I'm an expert), but 52 years of hurt and that never stopping me dreaming are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in Brazil where you can become successful by diving all over the fucking park. If you lose to the English national team, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is to accept that it's coming home.

What this means is the English public, after hearing about the fact it's coming home, are not going to want to stop reminding everyone that it's coming home, nor will they stop signing 'It's Coming Home'. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but England has alienated the entire world by bringing football home.

World, publicly acknowledge that it's coming home and cancel your own celebration plans or you can kiss football goodbye.

best one of these for a while tbh

This thread will just end up as a bin of ridiculing England when they eventually don't win it, won't it?

if, and yes

Ay! It's going to be a good a match even if England lose I'm still chuffed that they made it this far.

Getting passed Group was enough for me. Beating the penalty curse was amazing, getting this far, already heros. Also considering the state of the British Government Southgate might be in for a chance. XD

Football WC this year.
Cricket WC as hosts next year.
Brexit WC the year after that.

It's all going home.

Even if England gets past a knackered Croatia (which I still doubt), France or Belgium will be too much for them. But reaching the semis, easy path or not, is already a success for this young team.

Definitely. They've already exceeded expectations and the vibe around the country couldn't be better.

Even if we don't win it now, the future looks great for this young squad.

Considering the youth teams success, something is being done right. it would be interesting if further young talents like can continue to be fed into the team.

Look at the group England was in. It was coasting on easy teams. They deliberately lost the game to avoid being put up against France or Brazil or Belgium. France Belgium and Croatia are all good enough to knock england out and sent it back home. In particular France.

Add international political consequences and you're almost there.

I'll never understand the English's need to treat England as the center of the universe. 'It's coming home'? Pls. Not while France and Belgium are around.

Oh that's not quite what the songs about but there's no convincing some...

The song was about defying negativity and supporting the team during a time when folk were very critical.

I was in a pub at London Bridge for the quarters. The place nearly exploded, strangers were hugging, shirts were off, songs were sung.

When we win on Wednesday it's going to be anarchy.

Wednesday's match is going to be intense, I swear if it goes to penalties again...
The NHS will report a 700% rise in heart attacks.

Seriously, tomorrow is going to be huge. 20 million people watched the QF, the country will basically be at a standstill for the Croatia game.

Knowing England, we will find a way to mess up, but if Southgate can avoid this, we can be in the final. Kane scoring tomorrow would be amazing.

It's on ITV though. Don't like their commentary and the punditry will be awkward
