Report back pls.
Is there any reason the Jurassic Park franchise shys away from one of their more popular dinosaurs(Dilophosaurus)?
JP 1 = great showing
LW = nope
JP3 = nope
JW = hologram
FK = troll in the intro, museum
Didn't care before but man it feels like a tease now.
Huh, Baryonyx was in the first book? Like, just mentioned or did he really appear?
Just mentioned AFAIK. Was also mentioned in promotional material for the book/film:

Since i've been too positive on Fallen Kingdom. There was one complaint I had with it.
Too much of the soundtrack felt re-used. Like using Chasing Dragons for a plane lifting off to go back to the island I thought was pretty inconsistent considering its prior use was on one of the most iconic scenes in the series.
All this Dilo talk reminds me again of how wack and lazy the new movies have been with the sound design of the new dinos.
It's crazy to me we essentially haven't gotten a really iconic new roar or vocal since the first JP movie lmao.
Anyway, is anyone playing JW: Alive? Yeah it's a Pokémon Go clone but it's probably the best thing to come out of FK haha.

AFAIK quite wellDemonCarnotaur Any idea on how the toy sales have been? They seem to be doing good in my area, but I was curious how they've been worldwide.
Would be nice to hear that all the extra effort paid off.
It's a dumb film with little care out into the reality of it all, sadly... theres a ton more issues as wellHey guys - saw for the second time yesterday - so many plot issues, apologies if they have already been covered here;
- Location-based mistake: when Maisie goes into the basement the first time and backs around the corner up to the Indoraptor's cage, that same hallway turns into an empty space with a dumbwaiter at the end. Completely threw me when Owen/Claire turned the corner and it was 100% different from how it should be.
- Size-changing dinos: Various dinosaurs that look huge on the island are suddenly small enough to fit into a little underground bunker....umm, ok then.
- Panning shot: When the team are on the island, coming up to the main complex, there is an aerial panning shot with no Brachiosaurus in it, only for them 20 seconds later to have a massive Brachiosaurus right in front of them - wasn't aware they were so fast!
I have a bunch more issues, but those were some that bugged me the most.....any thoughts?
He died on Sorma.Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Hopefully they bring him back for the sequel. That would have made me so happy.
DemonCarnotaur brought this up on twitter.
Personally, I'd love to see some darker films. I feel like that shift alone would fix a lot of complaints people have from both camps. Dinosaurs would be more animal than Hero and there's actually be some stakes as opposed to invincible main characters and children.
James Cameron wanted to do an R rated Jurassic movie back when he was directing the first movie.
Imagine how different everything would have been.
I don't believe anything Colin says lmao.
Didn't he also say FK would drop the military angle?
Or the hybrid dinos?
That the dinos would act more like animals?
Less action movie and more science fiction like the first JP?
I swear he said all of this in between the movies only for FK to basically double down on all of the dumb stuff from JW lmao. I think the only things he kept his word on was the greater amount of animatronics (lol) and that the big action scene is in the middle of the movie.
I think the reason I like the opening scene is mainly HOW it depicts itself. Conceptually, it's very over the top - but the execution feels tight and real, with some very dramatic filmmaking not about overembellishment with the visual execution.
Plus, the fact that we're there so briefly allows the scene to work, as we don't subconsciously find enough establishing elements that contradict the animals location or behaviors.
On another note... fingers crossed?
Unless you want more fare like Jurassic Park 3 or the IDW comics.
