Seems that this Mario thing might be a system selller...

Passed out last night just a few minutes before the game unlocked, so I only got to play for like 30 minutes before work. Was just starting to "feel it" when I had to put the Switch down. Watching the reactions of people in this thread is torture.

My copy is out for delivery. Probably will not come in till this evening. Luckily I tonight is a Raid Night, so that should pass the time until it is delivered.

Also watching that 02:11:52 Any%to pass the day... these guys work fast lol.
Watch there be a sub 1hour 30min run by tomorrow.

Played up until the lake world last night and passed out. So fucking good. The Mario 64 vibes are so real. It's still taking me some time to realize I'm playing another game like that...surreal.

Please hurry up work.

Just another hour and I will finally play it too. Bought a Switch for it yesterday. Also bought Stardew Valley for the Switch which was a big mistake for my health.

looks like BB fucked up my order and it still hasn't been picked up by Fed Ex. Told they can't do jack about it but wait. Guess I'm going to a BB to pickup another copy today...

Those people tried to tell me my preorder from e3 time wouldn't be here until Wednesday. I was so annoyed, canceled and bought directly from Nintendo digitally.

New Donk City is ridiculous. Just completed it. Has anyone else?

The festival was so cool. The 2D mario section with the donkey kong tribute was fantastic. A perfect pauline homage.

Also damn this game is pretty.

Been playing for about five hours. It's so good. It actually feels much more different from 64 and Sunshine than I initially expected, structure-wise. You can definitely see the 3D World influence here. That's a good thing in my book.

I went to the cave and got the moon but couldn't reach that mountain of coins spot. Tried to jump over cap but failed over and over. I didn't know about that Mario second jump untel then,it push you higher so you can reach it.

Played a bit of this. I just want to say that the game is damn gorgeous. Incredibly gorgeous. I regret doubting this earlier this year. Now back to the game.

This game wasn't even on my radar... because I didn't own a Switch was watching Retrogaijin play it this morning. Went out and bought the Mario Odyssey Switch Bundle.

Played for an hour or so, loving it so far, so well done.

Okay, so I've played this for a bit (currently fucking around in the desert), and...
I'm underwhelmed? It controls well, and the levels are fine and everything, but it feels decidedly average so far. Nothing has blown my mind so far.
I really hope I get more into it later, because I'll be so bummed if I don't enjoy it...

Worth mentioning that if anyone is looking for the bundle, check Best Buy. They're literally sitting on 25 at the one by me.

Interesting that the European game still uses Fahrenheit, while it was shifted to Celsius for BoTW. I guess it's due to actually affecting gameplay in the latter.

OK the hole in the sand boss is cool. Had to go to bed last night. My 6 year old woke up early and is already to about where I was. going to be weird when he is showing me secrets and telling me boss strats. lol
