How easy is it to transfer all of my stuff from SD card to SD card? Thought 64 GB would last me longer since I've always been a physical person, but some of these updates and indies are killing me and i'm interested in the Resident Evil collection.

Also, anyone know of a safe for the switch and cheap portable charger?
Pretty easy. I made a guide not too long ago, but it's fairly basic.

This Switch cover with controller bulges is pretty great (and cheap!).

I was not liking touching the back of my bare Switch and leaving oily smudges at times, so this both protects from that and makes the whole thing fit better in my big hands.
Only negative is it wont fit on the dock in this. Thankfully it's only seconds to get the Switch out of it.

Oh, I can also fit it in my travel case, as long as nothing else is in there with it.

Got a screen protector and 128gb microsd today. I'm set for a while now. That kickstand was a PITA to open though I will say lol. Felt like I was about to break it off.

Anyone using a Wii U Pro Controller with the Switch? I've seen a couple videos about how to do this with an adapter and not sure if it's a realistic choice for all game, or just some.

I'd prefer to use this since it's not getting much use anymore and if I can do it with a cheap adapter, I'm all up for trying to configure this.

So, opinions, yay or nay?

edit: foundthisand looks like it's a decent solution per a previous YT video, anyone have it?

I don't suppose there's a way to get rid of those streak marks? I'm not sure how it happened, but it's bugging the hell out of me, and I've only had the Switch for a few days. I know I shouldn't let this bother me because it's on the back, but man, my OCD won't let up. I can still technically return the system to GameStop, but I already did that once with a dead pixel the first time, and don't want to push my luck.

Dabbing it with water and a microfiber cloth didn't do much except making it less pronounced, but still very visible once you angle it towards a light source.

You might have to live with them - I gave up on stressing out over those forever ago. You could look into replacing the back yourself if you really wanted too, I thought about that and it's probably not very complex. Probably voids warranty though.
Thanks! I thought it was probably that simple but just wanted confirmation.

I'm planning on getting a switch for myself and my almost 4 year old boy for Christmas. Anyone else here with young kids? What games do you recommend?

No kids but TONS of little cousins and nephews. They loved Mario Kart (The help system that allows them to not fall off is a gamechanger) and ARMS (Flopping their arms and punching never got old, just be sure to put the wristbands on them).

Is there a way to transfer files back and forth from system memory to sd card and vice versa?

Also, don't games load faster from the internal storage?

Thanks for this - ordered one. Was hoping too it would fit on in the dock.

I bought a Pro controller last week. What kind of batteries are in this thing? I've only charged it once, when I first got it. After hours of playing Zelda and Mario in docked TV mode, the controller still says it has full charge. Is it nuclear powered or something? Or am I just too used to my launch Dualshock 4 that I have to charge every few hours.

I guess I'll suck it up and deal with it. It's honestly only bugging me now because of how new the Switch is, but I'll have to let the passage of time cut down on my OCD. Ordered a case for the switch so I can avoid making any more marks, though.

Really starting to appreciate HD rumble in Mario Odyssey. I notice it more when playing the game muted, but things like feeling the rev on the moped or turning the turret on the tank feel awesome in the hands.

I was thinking Mario Kart and odyssey but was second guessing myself if i needed to look into other games. I'm on a budget I can't get more than 2-3 games and one of them is Zelda for me

I'm planning on wanting either the Nintendo Switch or the PS4 Slim for Christmas. Which one is better so far? =/

What do you mean with "better"?

The PS4 has more power and a lot of great exklusives like Horizon: Zero Dawn and Until Dawn and there are good games coming like Days Gone, God of War and the next The Last of Us (and you also have a lot of great 3rd party games by Capcom, Bandai Namco, Square Enix that you can't play on the Switch). The Switch is a hybrid and you can play it everywhere (which is awesome!) und you have great games like Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario+Rabbids, ...

It depends on what you prefer. I have both systems and wouldn't wanna miss one, because they work perfectly together.

This is the last time I'm going to talk about it for awhile, but one of the things that keeps me from buying the switch at any given moment, is the asymmetry of the two joycons.
Here they are, pictured with a third party grip:

And here's how they need to be, for me to be fully satisfied with my purchase:

Even the logo can't be completely honest with the positioning of the sticks.

I'll probably get a switch soon anyway. I already bought a couple games and the SD card in preparation... but I just can't deal with this in full satisfaction. This is absurd to me.. I would be on the friggin moon otherwise, but the reality is, the buttons and sticks on these things are imbalanced, and it will forever drive me insane.

That's all, I'm done. I pray they adjust these things for switch lite, or switch 2.0, or whatever inevitable update they'll do within the next 1 or so years.

If they were the same (as you want them to be) they'd be inverted on one side of the switch. The balance would be even worse than it currently is in handheld mode, and it'd be practically unusable.

Sounds like you just need two sets of Joy-Con, so you can have two of the same controllers for multiplayer.

5 year old boy here.

Snipperclips is good, but you might only be able to do the first 2 world's and the snip dojo.

Mario Of course, especially with the kid friendly antenna that means they cannot fall off the course.

My son is good at Arms, and the party mode is a lot of fun. He plays with pro controller.

Mario Odyssey band Sonic Mania too.

Do you realize how uncomfortable it would be to reach the bottom inputs when not playing ad-hoc multiplayer with your adjustment?

That would be horrible to use in handheld mode. The right stick is already uncomfortable to use, putting it even further down is madness.

Have you already got a PS4 (Original)? If not, the PS4 is gonna have over 4 years worth of games to play on it while the switch just came out in March with (obviously) a lot less to play. It really depends on what games you want to play. That said, 2 of the most highest rated games of all time are also on the Switch so there is that too.

How do you guys feel about the screen size? Its funny because its the biggest screen on a portable yet but its like 6 in right?

Videos always make text seem a little squish,I guess this only matters in a tabletop, portadocked mode anyway.

What would be inverted? We're just talking about slightly sliding around the positioning of the buttons as they are currently formatted, to be centered.
They wouldn't have to be exactly as I edited. Just slide them around to the ideal comfort position as long as they're centered. If they're centered (the stick + buttons) the controllers will be symmetrical. If that's still not possible, get that right stick out of the dead center
of the controller, don't care how you do it.

I hope GTAV comes to Switch so it can have three of the highest rated games of all time.

Think about the way they snap into the switch compared to the angle they're held when in single Joy-Con mode.... on would be upside down compared to the other.

It'd look like this (roughly);

Look at how low the dpad is on the 3DS. That's very close to the bottom. I don't recall that being a big issue for people. And the design has the left stick very close to the top already on the joycon.
What if you kept the stick to button distance as they are in the actual joycons but shift them toward the center?

I'm convinced there are better alternatives.

Shift the left stick+buttons down one inch. Shift the right stick+buttons up one inch. That would basically be the symmetry I'm desiring.
