Super Mario Odyssey |OT| RSVP: Guests of the Bride

So I went home at lunch, set up my new Odyssey bundle, and while it was downloading I popped in Puyo Puyo and connected my new Pro controller to it. Managed to play a bunch of Tetris on the dpad without any issues. Not sure if they've addressed the problem or it only shows itself after being used for awhile, but I'm incredibly happy with the Pro controller. It's even better than the XB1 controller imo.

Modern Nintendo seems to prioritize frame rate over resolution for most of their titles (the obvious exception being Zelda). This is almost always the right call, especially in a platformer.

Currently working through the seaside kingdom. Reminds me of Noki bay.

Usually they are great. I would have been okay if they offered me a digital copy for the same price. I'd LOVE if they let us get GCU prices on digital copies at least for preordering.

Reading the reviews and impression for this game has me hyped... Can't wait to get back home tomorrow to talk my daughter into a weekend of mario (co-op) of course :)

Such a beautiful game so far, the screenshots make it look like shit though.

I'm taking a break for today.

o yeah that would be amazing. Only reason i keep buying disc/cart games is cause of GCU. I think this is the first time they screwed up on preorder, though the rep was completely unapologetic about it, blaming the game coming out on Friday for messing it up.

I think that a lot of the official media was really unflattering to it pre-release, too. Playing it, I'm more than pleasantly surprised at how great it looks.

Lake Kingdom Hint Art...I have no idea what to do with this. I went to the location of the picture but nothing happened.

Also I'm missing three purple coins from there so that's also really annoying.

This game is insanely good i am already liking it above Zelda Breath of the Wild.and i am saying that as someone with a couple of Zelda tattoo's lol.

Currently in the 5th or so kingdom and the game is pure joy, it's like a real dream game i always wanted. Perfect Mario 64 succesor.

Btw that bowser amiibo suit looks sooooo good.

Almost bought a switch just for this game.. i dont know how much time i can resist since SM64 is my favorite game of all time.

Does anyone know how long this game is? With or without extra side content. I heard before release that it was massive but it seems like people are going through pretty quickly here.

I am glad there is no game over in this game. I died so many times with the jaxi but it did not feel too frustrating and it opens room for experimentation. I love it !

I cant get over how much this game is making me smile. Just a wonderful sandbox...I'm gonna be lost in the game for weeks.

10 minutes in and I'm already excited as hell!

Just done a 6 hour session on this. I still lost a ton of lives though. Loving it so much!!

Sand level. Bit confused

My copy arrived within five minutes of my Resetera new member email. Sounds like a good omen. This is also my first order as a Best Buy GCU member. Anyone else think it was really strange that they actually mailed the preorder bonus coin in a separate package, or is that standard operating procedure for Best Buy preorders?

Nintendo first party releases always come out on Friday (used to be Sundays), so i ALWAYS ship to work.

Speaking of. I brought the switch in to work today so i could pay a little when it arrived. It's amazing how tight the controls are.I never play handheld mode, but i did try it to see what cap throws were limited based on how i hold it, and i struggled with straight down and the 360. split joycon i have no problem at all. it's interesting and unfortunate, but as far as what i played, I've had a blast.

Game looks amazing! Screenshots looks really ugly after you se this game on TV

This game is so good, holy smokes. I finished the Forest Kingdom and now getting started on the Lake Kingdom. There is a ton of content in this game, wow.

So far so good. So many secrets , so much variety, it's a joy to play. But damn it it's so easy.

Sucks I've taken ill because I want to play more but head killing me. The sand area is so big... Also, it was a nice bday gift from wife! Game and all 3 amiibos.

Holy cow this game is so good. At about 40ish moons so far and have been having so much fun.

How many moons are there!? I did loads on sand world and figured I'd probably cleaned it out. Checked the list.. ! No idea where I'm supposed to find those.

Little bit wary I'll get paralysed and stuck in one world trying to get more of the moons, but I'll try and move on once I've found what seems like a good amount to me.

This game is pure magic, I absolutely love it. I have about 120 moons so far and I just can't put it down.

This game really is incredible. I took the day off from work and I've been playing since 5:30 only stopping for lunch.

Really glad I didn't buy wolfenstein yet. Mario is too addicting.

I'm tempted to grab the amiibo 3 pack too
