CD PROJEKT RED is proud to inform that Cyberpunk 2077 has been named Most Wanted Game at the 36th annual Golden Joysticks Awards!

2018 marks an incredibly important year for Cyberpunk 2077. The title made an appearance at E3 and gamescom earlier this year, saw the release of a brand new trailer and gameplay video, and earned more than 100 awards. The Golden Joystick for Most Wanted Game stands as its most recent accolade.

The entire Cyberpunk 2077 team would like to thank each and every person participating in the Golden Joystick Awards for voting for Cyberpunk 2077, as well as all the support thus far — none of this would be possible without you!

I watched the hour long demo for the first time last week and this game looks absolutely incredible. Definitely the one I am looking forward to most until a new superhero game gets announced lol

Once KH3 is out this will probably be next to the Last of Us 2 my most wanted game too

Their games are probably besides Rockstar Games the most ambitous from a 3rd Party Dev and it shows in quality each time.

Yep. After KH3, this is the only game that I want to spend as much time with as possible getting immersed in Cyberpunk.

You're complaining about their Twitter bullshit... By coopting a hashtag used to combat bigotry to congratulate the game?

Seriously?
I get where you're coming from as I was taken aback until I read their second sentence.

I don't think they are congratulating CDPR but instead trying to mock their Twitter bullshit and call them out for it? I could be wrong but that was my interpretation.

Edit: More on topic, I'm not suprised at all. Cyberpunk 2077 WAS my most anticipated game for a long time. Their three controversial tweets have changed that. Someone mentioned some speculation about the person responsible being fired based on his account on their forums in a thread on Thronebreaker sales the other day, but I didnt see any hard evidence.

Either way I think my most anticipated game now would be Sekiro.

For me it would be between TLOU2, Pokemon gen 8 or FE 3 House, with KH3 just a bit bellow

It certainly is my most wanted game!

The Witcher 3 is my favorite game this gen, and honestly of all time- I fully expect CDProjectGods to deliver once again- they are doing something truly special.

My most wanted as well. You can delay Kingdom hearts, days gone, ghost of wherever and whatever else you wanted indefinitely if it meant I could have this game right now lol

As it should be it's the most ambitious and interesting game coming up. Fuck the twitter dude btw, hopefully they are actually fired.

I definitely want this game.

I also want the developer to stop being such reprehensible garbage too.

Every year I losing more and more interest in games, but this game with Metro Exodus and The Sinking City are probably the only games that I look forward to.. and if another Call of Juarez game (but not in the style of The Cartel) is planned, that would be sweet too

The developer had nothing to do with the tweet. Also the guy most likely doesn't work there anymore, there was a huge thread on gog about it.
Can you provide receipts on whether or not the person responsible for repeated transphobic comments has been fired? I never saw any update of the sort.

Also I'm not real keen on splitting the hair between CDPR and CDP especially with the game's official Twitter account outright endorsing via retweet and then making tranphobic statements of its own. Coupled with CDPR's complete lack of clarity and response to gender options, it's a shitty look all-around.

I'm holding off on building a new PC until around the time it releases. It's really the only game I have on my radar for the new few years.

Not America
Was one my most highly anticipated games but the recent string of bigoted, tone deaf and misogynistic social media bullshit has significantly dampened it. Plus, given CDPR's track record of fixing a problem and creating two more simultaneously with their patches. It will be while post launch till I pick this up. I say this who has supported the devs by buying The Witcher 3 twice, once for PS4 + plus all story dlcs and once (the GOTY edition) for Xbox one X. Still have not gotten around playing it.

In the early days when they had the best ethics in the gaming world I supported them fully. But now it's wait and watch.

Plus, I am most likely going to get the next gen version of their game.

Really hope this gives RDR2 and TW3 a run for their money as far as open world gameplay goes.

Definitely gonna sit out for the next-gen versions... But what is this social media stuff you are talking about. I haven't been following.

Zero interest in this game and developer.

Not sure how you took my my mockery of their garbage tweets as congratulating the game, but I know what it's like trying to separate responses that support bad company culture from those that admonish it.

I'll add "fuck CDPR, CDP and GOG" to that post for clarity—hopefully that's not bannable!

I used to be quite interested in the game until this behavior now I no longer plan on playing it.

I am happy to see evidence that the PR guy at GOG / CDP was fired for the disgusting tweet, and that there is some ample evidence on their forums which would back that assertion up. While it's a nice step, I would like to see more from them on that front. If they can make it a year on Twitter without fucking up again, that might stand for something, but I want to see some of the press next time they speak with representatives from CDP put them in a corner on this subject until we see something more akin to an apology and an admission.

Resident Evil 2, Cyberpunk, The Last of Us Part 2 and Death Stranding are my picks for anticipation. Can't wait for each.
