When they finally do the mutants in MCU after the aquisition. I hope that Marvel uses the GOAT X-men team (Addition of Bishop from Storm's Gold Team). Go straight into story with the team dynamic already immediately established like Jim and Chris Claremont's. No need to do the origin stories, that can be explored and done through expositional dialogue and call backs. So hyped for Phase 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.....

I agree that the next X-Men movie should have the team already formed, but I'd much rather they use different characters and not just the 90's team.

You should post the first one he did with Sony executives dragging Spidey away.

Also, half the forum is losing their damn minds over the news. It's hilarious to watch the shit flinging over people being excited about cartoon continuity.

As I said in the other thread, it's kinda funny how people excited about this are getting shit like we made this happen. I'm sure Bob Iger was reading GAF and ERA before he pulled the trigger.

So we're all pretty much expecting the Infinity Gauntlet to explain how to pull the X-Men/Mutants into the MCU without any issues, right? That during Avengers 4 someone uses the Gauntlet to fix whatever Thanos fucked up, but ends up creating a slightly different universe where Mutants have existed since forever and now follow the general hero explosion of the last 20 years? So we can still have Magneto being around WW2 and Charles forming the team in the 90's. Can't wait, let's do this!

It could be the MCU's Secret Wars, I guess. But without the whole blowing up two universes part.

I'm expecting them to come over from another reality entirely rather than modifying the existing known reality. And I'm expecting Doctor Strange to help facilitate it.

We'll see soon enough.

Now I'm scared Captain Marvel will get pushed back yet again in favor of a post-Fox property.

(I'm not actually scared)
Too late for that. They totally would have done that if they had gotten Fox earlier though.
At least now we will finally get all those female superhero movies people told me we would get if only Disney had the X-Men, right?

I like the idea of bringing the FF into the MCU, but I feel like the ship has kind of sailed on Galactus at this point. I just don't see why he'd a big deal anymore after Thanos.

Galactus is a constant in every universe and has crazy powerful heralds. Celestial sized goodness not like Ego. Man He would still be an amazing get.

But even better would be negative zone for annihilus.

The Fantastic Four should already be an established team, let them be former shield scientists and they got lost on an exploration in space.. trapped for years inbetween dimensions and stuff only to come back now.

Doom should be not linked in his origin to the FF, let Mordo on his hunt to kill Sorcerers find out that there is one in Europe that is super powerful and wears a neat little armor.

Xmen I'm not so sure about right now.

I wonder if we'll ever get a Hulk movie. I read that Hulk was heavily featured in Thor due to rights over solo movie, no idea if that's true.

It pretty much is. Marvel can't do another Hulk solo movie without jumping through a lot of hoops. So Feige and Ruffalo talked about what they would do, if they could do another Hulk movie. Then they decided to split that story arc among three movies (Ragnarok, Infinity War, Avengers 4).

Well I'm OK with this if we're getting plenty of Hulk subplots across three movies. I wasn't sure about Ruffalo as Banner at first, but he's totally won me over.

I have discovered that SS is a Eminem fan, and it perfectly makes sense

Eminem from The Slim Shady LP to The Eminem Show might be my favorite rapper ever.

I don't listen to anything else he's done. Glad he's got his life together, but damn if sobriety (and just being a man stuck in time creatively) doesn't agree with his music.

Sub likes his current music as well

It's all coming together

I kind of get it because Logan and Deadpool are really weird movies and it was exciting to see Fox going in this direction.

Logan and Deadpool are also movies that a lot of people who don't usually like superhero movies ended up enjoying because they are so different. You can't deny they feel like actual creative risks (in a way DC wished it could say when bringing up MoS or BvS).

My hype for a marvel universe that is finally whole supersedes that, but isn't just about the R rating. Plain weird shit like one of your superheroes being pegged by his wife or Professor fucking X as an old demented bat who just get offed with no fucks given is the kind of stuff we just can't expect anymore (it's already weird that they happened in the first place).

Nothing prevents Marvel Studios from doing weird R rated movies.

Nothing.

Neither are weird

Logan is your prototypical old man is on his last legs and just wants to die movie while Deadpool is...just a movie with lots of swearing and comedy and action scenes

Wasn't Logan supposed to be a kind of what if story? I imagine that's why it could get away with some of the crazier stuff.

I'm with you I don't think they should be in their own universe at all but more like Guardians where they're off on their own except for major events just like in the Comics. They need to have their own stories that don't really interact with the Avengers aside from little cameos and such when it makes sense in the mainline films. Production wise I think that's just easier if FOX is doing their own thing kinda like Spiderman at the moment otherwise you'll lose the ability for Marvel to do stuff like Black Panther.

Xavier can walk around and have an intimate relationship with the Shi'Ar and Lilandra and not need to share the same space with Guardians for example.

Nah bruh. If you think Homecoming wasn't a Marvel Studios production through and through, I got a bridge to sell ya.

Weirdos, man.

Remember how safe the MCU got after Disney bought them? Instead of Iron Man and Captain America, all we get anymore are such vanilla films like Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant Man.
