Until they add more end game content, this is literally the only thing they have to keep players engaged though, so I suppose that is why they are doing it.

Is it possible to beat a raid boss Porygon solo? If so what do I need. I have a lot of 2200CP Ursarings that know fighting attack.
Also revives are ridiculously hard to get now. I haven't gotten one at a pokestop in weeks and they are still rare at gym stops and I only get one out of every 10 swipes or so at gyms. Such BS

Very easy. It has low stats. I just did 1 this morning and didn't take long. I used my Mchamps. But, fighting in general will do it.
This week.
IGN and 9to5mac both say "today" in their write ups, no one else does though. We'll see.

They're wrong though, this excerpt for example: "More surprisingly, though, is that Pokémon Go is about to require going out into the rain and snow to capture every monster thanks to a new weather system." Yet we know there won't be weather exclusive Pokémon.

Every time I see a new update for this game I feel like its something that should have been there from launch
I see the latest APK mine on Reddit has revealed a bunch of new moves are on the way. Nothing for Ho-Oh by the look of it. People there seemed hype as hell for Waterfall with Gyarados.
Also an item that works like a Lucky Egg but for stardust instead of XP. That should be a mega hit for Niantic.

"Clear" weather gives a bonus to grass, fire, and ground.
How can you tell that's a shiny? I've probably transferred some shiny pokemon without knowing it was a shiny.Forgot to mention, I hatched a shiny Pichu yesterday!
Check your pokedex, you'll see an option to look at the shiny version if you've caught one.
I don't know if it's always done it, but I think it warns you when you try to transfer a shiny. I say think because I still don't have a shiny :(
Yes, there's an extra warning before you are allowed to transfer a shiny or legendary. You also aren't allowed to batch select them.
So, as someone who completely fell off of Pokemon back in the day after Gen 2, who are the absolute must power-up mon? From the little bit of reading I've done it seems like Tyranitar, Dragonite, and Raikou will still be best in class for this whole generation and that there are only 3-4 really top class Pokemon in Gen 3.
I only know the names of a handful of Pokemon going forward so this will be all new for me.

That list is consistent with everything I've heard from my local play group as to what to pay attention to and quest for.
Maybe some of them will be not so good, or others will rise to the top unexpectedly? I know Ttar was considered something of a disappointment in Go. But for someone with no Gen 3 knowledge it's a good jumping off point on what to try getting.

Shit ttar has been the most useful for raids outside of maybe golem.
Even the game thinks highly of those too for some reason. For a long time it tried to put my only Lugia in like every raid I did no matter what Pokemon I had available, and it's a garbo 80% trash mon. Obviously don't take the websites as gospel, but it's good to have some kind of idea of what to keep and what to ditch when coming at things from a sum-zero of knowledge. Starting points and all that.
Well with the battle party the hardcore players won't have to worry about it anymore.
