Hoping people will read mod edits? That's a bit of a stretch.

(I can't wait, this movie seemed rife for sequelitus I'm surprised it took this long. I suppose the movie losing it's main gimmick of retired superheroes was an issue, though.)

Character models lookin pretty good. Rewatched the original recently. Was def in the "before everything looked absolutely gorgeous" era of Pixar.

Hoping the Underminer stuff is prologue and there's some kind of time skip, like the intro for the first one.

I hope that it isn't Mr. Incredible's midlife crisis and longing for the life of superheroes, but with Elastigirl. Or Elastigirl hoping for the days before the return of superheroes.

Actually I really don't know what to expect from this.

And isn't Elastigirl called Mrs. Incredible now? I remember reading that in a Disney book or something in Disney World.

I hope the same thing, but I think we wouldve gotten the post time-skip designs if that were the case. I think this one is going to revolve around the baby and someone looking to exploit his basically limitless powers.

I really hope there is a time skip that they just aren't telling us about. Which is not to say they can't tell a great story if they pick up right where they left off, I think for me personally the more interesting story is a little further in the future.

It maks me wonder if we will ever reach a point where we get remaster of movies with updated CG.

I appreciate they didn't deviate too much from Incredibles 1 in terms of art direction. Looks great.

Man is this film gonna look gorgeous. I'm loving how much more pronounced the shape design is. We are almost to the point where the film on screen has the same type of energy that the concept art has.

It looks better obviously, but I wish the suits had a little bit of that shine still...or not sure how to describe it.

Not really the best shot, this movie better be fucking incredible or else I can never forgive Brad Bird for Tomorrowland and killing TRON.

Oh wow, I really like how much more bolder and streamlined the new film looks like.

Does seem like some of the texture work on the suits is gone, but hopefully it's just a more subtle effect now that isn't apparent in the picture due to it's size.

The colors are really popping more now in that one still.

Gonna be a Day 1 in the theaters, and I never say that for Pixar movies heh.

Still my favorite Pixar film and superhero origin story. Love that they've kept the style of the first film.

What happened to Mirage? Did they really let her escape without any consequences?
Well, in the comics that followed after the first movie, she became a spy for the organization that helps out The Incredibles I believe. I don't think she and Helen got along at first but then they became friends.

I feel like the odd one out because I thought that well, they would look...better? I dunno. I'm not impressed.

Sees Mod edit. Really guys.

More on topic, I am so hyped for this movie. I loved the first one. I never read the comics that came after, though I wished this would get more animation in the form of a sequel of tv series. I can't wait for the first trailer to drop.

the fact that that mod edit actually had to be written... jesus christ some of you guys are thirsty

anyway, i'm not quite sure whether i'm a massive fan of the design changes to the whole family but i'm sure it'll look better in motion. brad bird definitely knows how to direct good animation.

and whilst some of the original has aged (it looks like it was before they properly nailed skin so some faces, especially those of one-off extras, can look a little off, whilst the jungle scenes don't look anywhere near as good as i remembered it) i'm of the opinion that it holds up better than some posts in here seem to sugggest. the animation pixar pulled off back in 2004 still looks better than what a lot of other studios were pumping out years later whilst the great art style and bird's direction help create some pretty gorgeous scenes.

A timeskip would be best, but what the hell can't complain after finally getting this sequel.

MOD EDIT: The fawning over Elastigirl's physical attributes is embarrassing and contributes nothing to the discussion. If it continues there will be bans. It shouldn't be this hard to find other things to discuss about this reveal.

Haha what.
I walk into the thread and this is plastered on the top.
ERA doesnt disappoint.

On Topic
I need to rewatch the first movie.
I forgotten most of what happened.

Still excited for this new one....seeing advancements in rendering tech in series is amazing.

it looks like the characters haven't gotten older for the sequel?

The real question is whether or not Bomb Voyage will return.

The hero and villain names in the original were awesome.

Those bubble cannons are some scary shit. I love it! Best scene in the movie.
