For xbox one external drives are actually usually faster. There are a few games with bugs here and then on external, but I think it gets patched fairly quickly.

Gamess will have games coming out of the service, but I think nothing added left so far. But each game added should stay for at least a couple of months. Tight now it's already over 150 games available there.
Is there a good place that tracks what is leaving soon?

Is anyone else having YouTube freeze if watching for extended periods of time? It seems whenever I watch for 30 minutes or so, video will just freeze, and I have to quit the YouTube app and reopen it.

Edit: To clarify, I'm watching live streams. I'm not sure what happens if you watch long, already uploaded videos.

Tekken 7 seems to load much faster than it did on the One S which is great. Shame about the low resolution though. Really hope they get around to patching it since they're still releasing DLC.

This was happening for me on mixr and required twitch.

I had to force close twitch twice

Have quite a few games along with Game Pass, and all I want to do is play Halo 5 MP. The horrible IQ of the original Xbox One version was really my only complaint about the game. Obviously that's been fixed for the Xbox One X, and MP is pretty much perfect for me now. And even though it's not a HDR title, the image really pops on my OLED.

Gears 4 with every feature enabled though -- 4k, HDR, Atmos really is something else. Phenomenal.

Has anyone gotten one of the seagate xbox game drives for external storage? Do they seem good?

Seem to be having an issue with my X. AC:O froze up and I couldn't dashboard out at all, so I did a hard reset. Now when I turn it on, the light comes on, but nothing is showing up on my tv. No boot up sequence or anything. I can turn it back on my controller, then my controller instantly desyncs.

Anyone have this?

Unplug the power cord for at least 10 seconds or so. Then re attach and try again. I had this happen with my One S and doing this made it work again.

Just got a 1.19gb update for RE7. Fingers crossed it gets some kind of X support with the new dlc.

I've tried it a few times now, there's no change. From looking around, it's not exactly bricked as far as I can tell. The bricked ones don't even turn on.

This is not a great situation, sorry to hear that. Were you running the game off an external drive? I had the OG XOne freeze during a game when a connected drive failed but a reset fixed that.

Nah, I keep all the enchanced games internal. No worries, creating a repair order in a bit.

Hard disk failure. My first X had this, you get no HDMI signal as a result. Struggled with MS support for an hour and got it back working, but it failed again at the next reboot. I returned it to Amazon and then got another a few weeks later. Am praying the replacement doesn't have the same issue at any point.

I requested a advanced replacement last night and it's being shipped today. FedEx is estimating I'll get it tomorrow. Just in time for PUBG.

Hey guys, what do I do with my OG Xbox before switching to the X? I already have all my games on an external.

Do I wipe my OG to factory settings? Or leave it as is? I'm not sure if I'll sell it or give it to a family member just yet.

Much appreciated.

If you're definitely moving it on then it doesn't really matter where and a full reset is probably the way to go assuming, as you say, that all your games are on external.

If there's a chance you keep it then wait and see.

So, my controllers never sync with the console whenever I turn it on. I don't use rest mode or anything. Is this normal?

Damn i am enjoying this console a lot!! Got myself a Elite controller to make the experience complete.
My pro hasnt been on since the day i hooked up my X.
I envy you because I did the exact opposite. And not because the upgrade is not worth it but because from the downloading to the installation, in every new game, I can't stand with the absurd hours of waiting necessary for this hardware to play with something of new. That's a real pity.

It's not normal at all.
Do you mean you have to re-sync your controllers every time you switch on?

No that's not normal
If I do a power cycle (I don't like leaving it on sleep unless I'm downloading something) I turn on the console with the controller and it turns on, but after 5 seconds the light in the controller starts blinking and I have to take the battery out of the controller. After that, I turn the controller on and it connects normally. It happens with both controllers I own. If i turn the console with the controller from sleep mode, both sync just fine.

Anyone here playing games on an X and a S in another room? I'm hooking my old S up in the bedroom but kind of worrying about playing anything on it after experiencing it on the X. Is it really jarring going back?

Finally got my X in the mail today (I had won it off a contest several weeks ago)! The only X-enhanced game I've played so far is FFXV. Maybe it's the fact that I have an old, non-smart 1080p TV, but I can't tell much of a difference (visually) between the three performance modes that the game offers on the X. In any case, there's a noticeable difference between all three modes and what I was getting on my regular Xbox One.

Anyways, I'm having a problem. I read that games have improved loading time on the X, especially if they're being read off of the internal drive, so I moved a few games with long load times (FFXV, Witcher 3, Forza 7). However, I'm having trouble moving Forza 7 over. It always stalls whenever it gets to 64.22GB. I tried unplugging my external HDD and re-downloading the game straight to the internal drive, but it randomly disappears from the queue without even a "Installation stopped" message. I tried rebooting the console, I tried copying from external instead of moving from external (and vice versa), I tried re-downloading. Is there anything else I can try or should I just leave it on the external drive and play it like that?

Definitely contact Microsoft about that one.

Giant Bomb said you can see a game's status by holding down certain buttons on the controller while on the game selection menu.

Anyone know the button combo?

Wow, I did not know backwards compatibility was this extensive. I have 80 games I can play now after plugging in my xbox one. Bravo microsoft.
