Try going through the path to the lighthouse backwards.Fuck I can't find the last 3 purple coins in seaside kingdom and I can't find my bowser amiibo -.-
More than Power Moons, I wish I had a tool to tell me where purple coins were. I'm missing 3 in one kingdom and it's killing me.
In before 'buy the Bowser Amiibo'.
One of my favorite Kingdoms.New Donk City doesn't feel half the weird I expected it to. Pretty damn fun, actually.
Well...that..that looked far easier than jumping from the tree.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
also the game definitely gets a lot better as it goes on, it's definitely scratching my itches now with the platforming, possessions, and level design
Well, yes, but that's ALL you do in Odyssey (except for purple coins). Korok seeds are just a side thing for upgrading your inventory, it's not even close to being the main content of that game. So I don't really get the comparison.Collecting moons...so much more fun and varied than collecting Korok seeds.
The comparison between moons and korok seeds is really starting to grate on me for some reason haha. On some level it does make sense, the two games came out fairly close together, there are similar numbers of both collectables, and they encourage exploration, true. But moons are everything in Odyssey. They're the reason you explore, platform, and puzzle solve. Korok seeds are an optional little thing that you're just supposed to grab as you go. They're a small part of the open world experience that feeds into the gameplay loop pretty well, but you're not supposed to go for all of em--they even kind of stop paying off after a while. So of course moons are in a different league, they serve two different purposes for the most part.
Just before endgame spoilers.
Bowser's Castle is fucking BEAUTIFUL. Jesus christ the art design. We don't really need ridiculously powerful hardware when games look like this. Same for Breath of the Wild. They just kill it on the visuals. I'm in awe.
I have yet to finish the story part but I am so anxious to get to the post-game section. Reading comments around had gotten my hype level up a notch or two. Anyone around thinking the post game content isn't that much special?
So I've decided to not move on from planet to planet than backtrack unless I'm forced to by the game and I may have to it seems. The first world has 25 moons but I can only find 19 even asking the explorer to purchase more doesn't work. Is it a must to travel back after gaining some new ability or item?? Or is it possibly to get every start on each planet in order?
Man, come on.
This Dark Souls-y kingdom is insanely cool looking, like by far my favorite visually - and it's literally just a boss?
Super disappointing tbh
This is pretty much me, everyone is saying it's the best ever post game section, even better than what they offered in all the 3d marios....even 3d land and the game properly starts when you finish it so i'm dying too see it.I have yet to finish the story part but I am so anxious to get to the post-game section. The water sections keep messing me up. With everything else controlling like Mario 64, I want the swimming to work the same way, but it doesn't. :(At the risk of sounding like that kid off Miiverse, I love the water effects in this game. Looks so beautiful. I don't even hate the underwater sections which is generally rare.
Chalk that up as another one of these things that Nintendo just seem to know what they're doing with.

Not at all! Just don't tell me something like "because I wasn't born yet" or whatever because I don't want to feel old today. :PInteresting. Would this be a bad time to admit I've never played Mario 64..?
