The "textures still loading" thing when you first land after diving out of the plane is pretty funny sometimes. Earlier I had a match where I landed on the roof of the school, the textures were all blurry and melty and I basically sunk into the roof up to my character's waist. I was able to loot a gun on the roof while I basically swam around in the texture, until it finished loading, at which point my character was stuck in the floor from the waist down and was kind of just spazzing out. I was killed shortly thereafter, but it was really quite a sight.

Starting to get a bit tired of the videos on YouTube on how "broken" the game is on Xbox One S and X, even sites like Game Informer. Come on now guys, are you all gonna claim you never saw any of the countless of PUBG PC videos and see how bad that even performed at times?

It's like people are now finding out for the first time that the framerate isn't too great and needs work, but this shit has been known for a long time now. I said it before, if it was like this after officially releasing and not in game preview anymore, yes go ahead and say how bad that is, because it would.

But it's Game Preview. Look at Ark and how bad it was when it started game preview, honestly still is really bad though. If the Xbox team and devs work on this every week from now I'm sure we're gonna see framerate improvements and hopefully less/none of those weird lags anymore.

But despite those shortcomings (for now) I can't deny how addictive and FUN the game is and that goes for both solo and duo/squad play.

weapons get upgrades, and they help much.
but if by recoil you mean complete lack of auto aim and aim assist, yes.
the games you mention are rather heavy on these assists.

It was quite obvious before the game was released that any fault the game had would get a massive amount of attention. It's this years biggest selling game and it's a console exclusive on the least popular console amongst gamers.

Some of it is some sort of weird confirmation bias. People that don't own a powerful PC or Xbox will feel warm inside knowing that we're having such a bad time with this 'jank fest'.

The best way to prove them wrong is to carry on racking up hours and having fun with the game. It has it's faults, yes, it runs like ass at times and some of the visuals can be jarring, but it's a preview title and i know it will see improvement over time. In it's current state, it's still one of my top 3 games of the year.

Ive spent 160 hours on the janky mess that is the PC version and it's the best game I've played in years.

I also think it's rather good on XBX too.

Anyone with a good configuration for the sensitivity settings? Every time I think it feels good now comes the 1 on 1 confrontation where I feel like I play video games for the fist time. Some time too fast, some times way too slow and if I go play something else in between like R6 or Fortnite, my brain is fucked when I try to play PUBG again.

My settings are:

Deadzone: 2-5 (Would like to stay on 2 or lower but my stick is moving with everything under 5)
General: 10
Vehicle: 5
Targeting: 6
Scoping: 8 (Even that feels too slow some times)
2x: 5
4x: 1
8x: 1
15x: 1

Scoping is when I hold LT? And what is Targeting? Both always confuses me.

After 78 hours in the PC version and 15 on Xbox, I finally hit my first ever Chicken Dinner.

Couldn't be happier!! It was a tense battle, there were 3 of us left, and I didn't realise it went down to 2 while trying to shoot one of the dudes.

All of a sudden, a stray shot took him in the head and the game was over! I went kind of insane to my friends. It feels great that I seem to be a lot more confident on the console than PC, having grown up with controllers and just being way more comfortable overall with the play pattern of using a controller. I don't make as many mistakes because everything works just how I want it to.

Bring on the new map!

I find this hilarious. There's been some uninformed people in the danish xbox community who say stuff like, "I can't believe Microsoft would allow to release such a broken game on Xbox One X".

They are completely oblivious to what PUBG is or how the development have been on PC or how the performance is on PC. Like they've never heard of PUBG before. On top of that they can't seem to comprehend what Game Preview is or that the game is still being developed.

It's probably because PUBG is the first high profile mainstream game to come to preview. Most console players probably don't know the history of it on PC. Or even knew Xbox has been doing preview for years. That's my best guess.

Surprisingly the internet was right about this one. Have an OG xbox one and turning off DVR made a big difference.

Well, at least on the X there is no difference, literally, nothing. To add something really strange, I played it this morning and thought "Have they patched it overnight? It feels so much smoother now in the lobby and on the parachute and on the ground, that can't be the same version, but it was and VCR is still on.

Like I said before, on Twitter, Digital Foundry's Dark1X said he has VCR deactivated all the time, so the Digital Foundry Video was with deactivated VCR and that almost confirms it that there is no difference.

I think it's still just the placebo effect. Sometimes, like in my games this morning, it felt so much smoother but nothing has changed and sometimes the FPS drop like crazy, I don't think anything specific can change it in one of both directions.

I was thinking about to discuss this with you but not on this basis.
If the first video is "false advertising" (Yeah, it would be, but it's game preview, who knows if it comes to that state in the next few weeks/months? They said in an interview it can and even if it's unlikely, we should wait first) then the second video is false advertising too. In 30 hours gameplay I never ever experienced this texture loading issue, not once, never got stuck, never had a game crash. Also, there are so many scenes in this video that are just normal PUBG gameplay where I think "Where exactly is the problem here now? Has he ever played this game?".
This is wrong and exaggerating on so many levels.

I might jump in at that. But only is the price decent, but I'd get a digital copy of Unity (maybe to gift). Pubg probably won't go on a deep sale for sometime methinks.

I promise you this thing is a customer service nightmare for Microsoft with people trying to get refunds on this game. When I tried to get a refund the chat service person said "Fair warning, I keep telling EVERYONE that is trying to get a refund on this game that is usually declined because it's a digital purchase."

Proof? What does this proof? That this happen to maybe 5% of all people? You're aware of this right? You could tell me the most bugfree game in the world and I could make a video like this about it. It doesn't perform this bad for everyone, specially not for X user.

That's what I'm having to do, but the cups are not fitting my ears properly. The cable I'm using is the only one I can find and I believe it came with some random mobile phone. It's not a normal 3.5 mm to 3.5mm as it has a microphone on it and the connectors have 2 steps on one end and 3 on the other.

in alI honesty we can post vid after vid of people having a blast with this and losing their minds. Just take a peak at hypezone or this very thread you are posting in. I suggest you make your personal journey your own and not too lump in everyone else with your situation. You aren't going to convince the people who love it and It'll save you time and energy.

I remember almost getting a chicken dinner on my second try! Ended up getting second place -_-

Fun game! But I just had my first full-on system crash since playing. As I was walking the map around my screen went to my receiver's standby picture and I noticed my Xbox was flashing. Next thing I know, the console was rebooting.

On the bright side I was able to rejoin the game! Got 6th place, too! Thank goodness for vehicles because I can't aim lol

headspawn Thewonandonly - if you want to keep using hair triggers you can do it via the settings/calibration app. Setup another profile and during calibration, when it asks for a full pull of the triggers, only pull them into the short-stops. This means that when the game reads them in "analogue" mode (like an accelerator in a car) it will register the short-trigger stop as 100% pulled in rather than 50%. It also means they will definitely register them as trigger pulls when they are being used for digital inputs (shoot).

The same issue happened with Destiny on the sparrows (speeder bikes), so people figured out a fix.

Hitting anyone in this game at a distance is next to impossible. I don't understand it.

With the input lag, aim acceleration, absurdly low fps - I don't know why this was released.

It's very frustrating. But I love it.

It was a noticeable improvement for me (edit: on my Xbox One X). Still some rubberbanding, lag spikes, and occasional other hiccups but the noticeable sub 30 FPS went away. I play on a TV vs a Monitor though, and my friends playing on monitors still say it's present.

Have you messed with aim sensitivities or the analog stick acceleration curve?

You can tweak it to a "okay enough for now" level.

I'm not defending any of it's faults. I knew it was janky AF going in and I in now way expected it to be polished and to run better than a Super high spec PC. With all the hype surrounding this release on Xbox it's hard to imagine that people waiting for it haven't read or seen a single thing about the game and it's many problems?

The people i refer to in the danish community was expecting a final release product... How can they even expect that when it says GAME PREVIEW?

Also, I'm playing on the Xbox One S and I've never experienced, in the 8 hours I've played so far, what is happening in the Crowbcat video but maybe it only happens in highly active areas? I haven't landed at School or the Millitary Base. I have seen super low res textured rocks/cliffs at Shelter but they stayed that way and didn't pop-in higher res textures all of a sudden.

headspawn probably yes, I'm sure when I did it you could physically pull the trigger with the stop selected so you could just see what percentage the stop was at.

Depends what other games you play but you can make a pubg setup with that setting and save it to option 2 of the controller. Then you can flick the switch from 1 to 2 whenever you play.

I think we're living in a Black Mirror episode bro. I've never agreed more with what anyone has ever said online lol only to have literally everyone shoot it down and say it's hyperbole. When I say it's the worst thing I've ever played which is factual to my experience they scream hyperbole. It's so fucking crazy. Like why would I lie lol. I have nothing to gain from it. The crowbcat video mirrored my experience beat for beat. I wish I liked the game but it's just so bad. If this game was made by EA this thread would have 500 pages with people shitting on it and saying how awful EA is. I think your best bet is to just walk away like I have. They all reported me too lol. Which is weak honestly that they will just never acknowledge the flaws. It's an uphill battle you and me won't win so we should just honestly leave. But I can't stress just how much I agree with you.

Just landed into an 8 man fist fight in squads. Everyone just dancing around flailing their arms and all of a sudden some random appears with a frying pan and he's set upon. Typically it was in one of the first games I was trialing turning off DVR so I couldnt capture.

This game creates so many stories. I don't think I've laughed so much at a game in a long while.
