I'm not linking my nintendo account yet, just in case lol. The game surely is addictive.

4762 8972 659 is my code. Haven't gotten around to adding you guys yet. Trying to put it down to get home from work lol.

Edit: now I've added you.

Ughh... So how do you guys feel about this game?
It was fun for the first two hours I'd say but now I can see how's the grind is going to be more or less and it kind of turns me off.

I'm definitely still enjoying it, but I only tend to play it for twenty minutes every so often, like if I'm waiting for the bus, or on the toilet. I think it works better that way, the short bursts, than sitting at it for hours at a time, as there just isn't enough content there.

I'll conceed it is repetitive, but that's like most mobile games of it's kind, really.

That type of game might not be for you though, and that's entirely fine.

Is there a release date for this in Canada or is it just Australia for now?

Nothing has been specified exactly, late-November seems to be the worldwide release, going by what most sources have said though.

On another note, I made a discord server, drop me a PM if you're interested in joining!

I gave up after 2 days, it's not for me. What I like about AC is not there, like catching stuff or getting fossil for the museum, getting random furniture or just relaxing in town. Catching the same bugs or fish over and over again is not the same thing.

I haven't spent any real money and no, I didn't buy the chairs. I probably should have bought those first, right? :( I hope I can get more tickets before the chairs disappear.
In the notice page for the chairs it specifies that the chairs can return at a later date. They're also the least 'limited' event item in that they're always there for everybody's first 45 days, as in someone starting a year from now will have 45 days to get those chairs when they start.
I'd say to get either of them if you're a fan of either character, but otherwise if all you desire is a limited edition item I'd save the cash for something actually limited.

Same here. I like that they've tried to really distinguish the game from the handheld / console AC but they went way too far into the average F2P grindy mobile game direction for me to enjoy it for more than a few hours. Shame but looking forward even more now to AC Switch. Hopefully next year!

This was a pleasant surprise.

Going on a camping trip to relax and being told as soon as you get there that you're the campsite manager, though, would not be!

It's the same as regular Animal Crossing. Congrats you are now in charge if modeling the whole town! People will leave if you neglect them! By the way you also owe us money! Lol

I have the same thou as well. They need to add more things to catch.

Is there an easy way to download this on a UK iPhone now? I tried creating an AUS account but it's asking me for payment details. I'm sure when I created a US account to download Pokemon Go early, I didn't need to add payment stuff?

You need to tap 'Download' on a free app/game, such as AC: Camp, and then create an account from the prompt it brings up. That'll add a 'None' option at the payment method screen.

Yeah I'm feeling the same way, I can still see the appeal but it's fairly shallow and I can already feel the grind setting in. There's just not a lot of reason to do anything, and this is coming from someone who loves Animal Crossing.

I would kill for a proper Animal Crossing game on the mobile. It's one of those rare games where the control scheme might actually work.

Ehm, the first five villagers are scripted, am i correct? But after that?
I got Cherry and Eloise, they're scripted too or randomly generated?

What did you guys do about account linking?

Just not bother linking it to your Nintendo account?

You don't have to do it at all, but the rewards for linking your account are really good (150 free tickets + infinite access to 5000 bells and 20 crafting materials whenever you want as long as you have the platinum coins) so I just changed my Nintendo Account region to Australia. The only downside is if you try to change your region back the Nintendo Account link will fail and you can't play the game unless it's set to Australia again. I assume it won't be a problem once the game + the My Nintendo Pocket Camp rewards are available in every region.

As someone who's never played Animal Crossing before, is this worth my time, or is this really more of a game for already-fans?

Nintendo's been killing it with mobile games lately. Not sure if I'll play this too much, but I'll certainly give it a try.

It's kinda hard to deem the value of items, as it all really depends on if you get an animal that requires it. I tend to use the suggested listing prices, but you could probably inflate it by 2000 bells.
I've been having a really hard time getting people to buy anything from my market. I've had to drop my prices pretty considerably. I usually take the amount that I could sell it to NPCs for and multiply that by how many I'm selling, double it and then add a little on top. So like an Apple sells for 10. If I want to put 3 on the market I would list them 30 ( 3 x 10 ) x 2 (double that total) = 60. Then I would sell it for around 60-80 if that makes sense. That seems to be working pretty well for me.

People didn't seem interested when I was selling stuff for the suggested sell price. I wish I could like see what all of my friends are selling prices for and stuff instead of having to click each individual friend. Kind of wish there was like a regional/world wide auction house or something. Haha.

Yeah, I wish there was at least a way to specifically ask for an item on the marketplace, as there's been so many occasions where I need a specific fruit, but none of my friends are selling it.

Got to level 15

Now making a cupboard or pizza takes 7 hours, a cup of tea or a potted plant takes 3 hours. This is just an insane waiting game. I also absolutely hate that rock mining thing, it's just stupid RNG that you need to bug your friends so you can play it.

RIP one of my favourite Nintendo franchises, you're just mobile trash now.

ALSO a word of warning: If you buy a skirt and as a boy try to put it on it will delete your default pants and you can never take the skirt off until you buy a pair of pants to replace it. I got pretty mad after I was forced to wear a pink and purple skirt for two days.

Yeah so look out, skirts will get'cha.

Isn't it a teensy bit overdramatic to say Animal Crossing is dead because of a spin-off mobile game?

I guess it is dramatic considering how abysmal Amiibo Festival was, Let's Go To The City was also pretty bad. No, but this game is particularly grinding my gears, there's something about it that just feels dirty like all my favourite games that become mobile.

The game is just trying to stop us guys from committing a fashion no-no. I've yet to find a shirt that I pull off quite as well as a skirt.

I used an AU iTunes account to pick this up. Been fun to idly play, and seems you could sink a few hours into it occasionally if you wanted to.

I added all the other FCs in the thread. Could be nice to set up a sheet or something to track FCs and in game names so we can quickly add one another if there's enough interest in such a thing.

edit: Just saw there is a Discord now, probably easier to collect FCs there!

I'll make a sheet, link it on the first page here.

(if you guys are cool with that)

I'm so excited for this game but I'm honestly pretty worried that Nintendo won't bring this over to the Singapore App Store. We've gotten Mario Run but it's been nearly a year and Fire Emblem Heroes still hasn't been released here yet.

I started up and have not linked my Nintendo account in hopes I can do so once it's released in the US without issue. Really enjoying it so far. Nice and relaxing.

Has anyone outside of Australia had any luck buying tickets somehow?
No idea on how it works on Android but pretty sure Australian's Android Store accepts PayPal at least or an international card.

Australian App Stores on iPhone got locked down hard ever since the iOS11 update and now won't accept any international cards, only option is to register a separate Australian PayPal that can be linked to your US card.

edit - Nintendo has made it so that your tickets won't interchange between different systems, I suspect the Android version to have cheaper pricing so that is a fact if you are looking to buy tickets.

Made it to level 20 for myself, seeing a lot of villagers being rotated. Waiting for my picnic to finish building. Just about 12 hours to go.
