I haven't spent any real money and no, I didn't buy the chairs. I probably should have bought those first, right? :( I hope I can get more tickets before the chairs disappear.

Ughh... So how do you guys feel about this game?
It was fun for the first two hours I'd say but now I can see how's the grind is going to be more or less and it kind of turns me off.
Is there a release date for this in Canada or is it just Australia for now?

In the notice page for the chairs it specifies that the chairs can return at a later date. They're also the least 'limited' event item in that they're always there for everybody's first 45 days, as in someone starting a year from now will have 45 days to get those chairs when they start.I haven't spent any real money and no, I didn't buy the chairs. Same here. I like that they've tried to really distinguish the game from the handheld / console AC but they went way too far into the average F2P grindy mobile game direction for me to enjoy it for more than a few hours. Shame but looking forward even more now to AC Switch. Hopefully next year!I gave up after 2 days, it's not for me. What I like about AC is not there, like catching stuff or getting fossil for the museum, getting random furniture or just relaxing in town. Catching the same bugs or fish over and over again is not the same thing.
This was a pleasant surprise.
Going on a camping trip to relax and being told as soon as you get there that you're the campsite manager, though, would not be!

You need to tap 'Download' on a free app/game, such as AC: Camp, and then create an account from the prompt it brings up. That'll add a 'None' option at the payment method screen. Is there an easy way to download this on a UK iPhone now? I tried creating an AUS account but it's asking me for payment details. I'm sure when I created a US account to download Pokemon Go early, I didn't need to add payment stuff?

Yeah I'm feeling the same way, I can still see the appeal but it's fairly shallow and I can already feel the grind setting in. There's just not a lot of reason to do anything, and this is coming from someone who loves Animal Crossing.Ughh... So how do you guys feel about this game?

What did you guys do about account linking? Just not bother linking it to your Nintendo account?
It's kinda hard to deem the value of items, as it all really depends on if you get an animal that requires it. I tend to use the suggested listing prices, but you could probably inflate it by 2000 bells.
Don't bother, it's a mindless grind that might make you hate the mainline games. As someone who's never played Animal Crossing before, is this worth my time, or is this really more of a game for already-fans?
I've been having a really hard time getting people to buy anything from my market. I've had to drop my prices pretty considerably. I usually take the amount that I could sell it to NPCs for and multiply that by how many I'm selling, double it and then add a little on top. So like an Apple sells for 10. If I want to put 3 on the market I would list them 30 ( 3 x 10 ) x 2 (double that total) = 60. Then I would sell it for around 60-80 if that makes sense. That seems to be working pretty well for me.It's kinda hard to deem the value of items, as it all really depends on if you get an animal that requires it. People didn't seem interested when I was selling stuff for the suggested sell price. I wish I could like see what all of my friends are selling prices for and stuff instead of having to click each individual friend. Kind of wish there was like a regional/world wide auction house or something. Haha.
Got to level 15
Now making a cupboard or pizza takes 7 hours, a cup of tea or a potted plant takes 3 hours. This is just an insane waiting game. I also absolutely hate that rock mining thing, it's just stupid RNG that you need to bug your friends so you can play it.
RIP one of my favourite Nintendo franchises, you're just mobile trash now.
ALSO a word of warning: If you buy a skirt and as a boy try to put it on it will delete your default pants and you can never take the skirt off until you buy a pair of pants to replace it. I got pretty mad after I was forced to wear a pink and purple skirt for two days.
Yeah so look out, skirts will get'cha.

Isn't it a teensy bit overdramatic to say Animal Crossing is dead because of a spin-off mobile game?

I used an AU iTunes account to pick this up. Been fun to idly play, and seems you could sink a few hours into it occasionally if you wanted to.
I added all the other FCs in the thread. Could be nice to set up a sheet or something to track FCs and in game names so we can quickly add one another if there's enough interest in such a thing.
edit: Just saw there is a Discord now, probably easier to collect FCs there!
I'll make a sheet, link it on the first page here.
(if you guys are cool with that)
What should I spend my leaf tickets on? I'm at 235 atm. Tom Nook or KK Slider chair?
No idea on how it works on Android but pretty sure Australian's Android Store accepts PayPal at least or an international card.Has anyone outside of Australia had any luck buying tickets somehow?
Wasted? Is it lame? What does it do exactly?Wasted my tickets on the KK Slider Chair *sigh. This game is terribly addictive though.
