Is there a button to look at the stats for each weapon and compare?

I don't think so. I saw some stats on a Wiki but it seemed those were just assumptions mostly and based on the PC game.

I'd assume 7.62 weapons doing more damage than 5.56, but slower velocity. .45 doing more than 9mm, and so on and so forth based on real ballistics.

Second game after today's patch and I'm currently noshing on my first chicken dinner. What a rush!

Congrats! There really isn't anything around right now that gives this same kind of rush.. man, the feeling of victory at the end of a round is amazing.

Everything Petran said and i would add:

They actually listen to the players by constantly updating the dashboard, adding features like Dolby Atmos. Does the competition even have that? Even if it's subjective the controller is a whole lot better and lasts a WHOLE lot longer too in terms of battery life. Most good reasons have been mentioned too. Personally i would definitely save up for the X instead yeah. And especially read this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxone/comments/7kowds/you_can_currently_price_match_the_xbox_one_x_best/

350, maybe even 300 bucks is amazing if you can get that to work.

First of all, does PUBG have Dolby Atmos? The surround sound has been fantastic, but I never bothered to check for Dolby Atmos on my receiver as I've never heard of a console game supporting it. Not home so can't confirm.

Also, the directions in the link worked for me! Best Buy is preparing my Xbox One X order to be picked up at my local store for $350!!! Thanks for posting this.

Same, it seems really neat.

KS8000.

Best wishes.

It's so odd that the HDR is so dark and only in this game. Tried AC Origins and it's fine there. PUBG was fine on my brother's TV too, really odd but right now SDR is the way to go for me then.

Duo is secretely the best mode for the game, especially for beginner.

Solo is harsh, Squad is a mess since there's always too much persons speaking at the same time.

Solo? Oh man I love solo. Right now I would even go as far as to say I prefer it over Squad and Duo probably too. Solo I can just go wherever I want, whenever I want and just go my own way. Not having to worry that I might have a friend accidentally walking into my line of fire and vice versa. The experience is great with friends though and you can have a lot of laughs but I love solo personally.

The only thing I dislike about squads is that some want to be aggressive and I've yet to play with an aggressive person who made it to the top half of the standings. "Let's go to School." "Let's go to Hospital." "Let's go to the base." "Let's go to shelter."

A minute in they're dead b/c they thought they saw a SCAR-L and we're all scattered trying to survive the fact that 4 other squads are within 30 square meters.

To that end, duo/single are much more manageable IMO.

Im sure i saw the PC version had 4 bar graphs for each weapon when you hovered over the weapon

Agreed! As total newcomers to the game my friend and I learned far more by sticking to Duo exclusively at first. Only playing when we were both available to. Of course the addiction kicked in hard and we both dipped our toes into Solo after a couple days when we just couldn't wait for schedules to line up. Solo is just much more intense, edge of your seat!

Squads we've only done a few times. Mainly because we are waiting for the 1-Man-Squad to be added as we only have one other friend interested and so far that 4th random player has been very hit or miss.

It's amazing how different each can feel.

I feel the update has helped with the framrate a bit. Still getting a lot of rubberbanding though.

Still, it's encouraging to have a weekly update that addressed some issues.

Haha the best squad I've had (we won!) had absolutely zero communication. No mics, no messages, just occasional waypoints set on the map.

Original, xbox launch edition from 2013. I have an external 1TB SSD and I have disabled DVR. Still hickups, but gunfights are just fine now!
Ok cool. We had one other person saying they saw no change. I wonder how much the sad helps.

Anyway to switch between the two main weapons and skipping pistol? I forget which game did it but you would only pull out the pistol by double tapping Y, I really liked that system.

Duuuuuuude. Talk about game changer. It zooms in for irons, red dot and eotech as well.

I tried it tonight and that extra zoom is handy.

#2 on duos tonight. We were so close and I had a sniper rifle but none of my shots would hit dammit!

Also, I reset my Xbox to see if the theory that it performs better after the patch is correct. I could definitely see a FR improvement.

Yeah, a squadmate thought his was janky. A reboot cleared it up.

This game doesn't even show in my recent played list when I press the Guide button with this new patch. This patch is extra fresh, lol.

Had a friend over tonight who had never even heard of PUBG. He's a PS4 only gamer. We played three games and he went away hooked and asking when it was coming to PS4. The game is absolute gold.

I drop the pistol completely once I have an assault rifle. This way I can easily swap between my main weapons. I like that idea though and would keep a pistol if this was implemented.

Yeah I've got one friend that I've played games with for six or seven years, but I can't play PUBG with him. He just wants to get kills, even after I pointed out that's not how you win... It's the last kill that matters - even if you go 30-1...that 1 means you lost. He constantly wants to go for the big weapon spots, which means fighting it out from the start and a lot of sub-five minute games.

I've had not rubber banding at the start of matches the last few days, it must be server side as it never used to happen and it calms down after a bunch of people have died

I'm confident it does, you can hear the drop planes overhead.
Gears or war, tomb raider and Assassin's creed all support it

Friend sounds like he's playing it right, for the action and bloodlust, no way I'm gonna try to keep winning like a coward, win a few times like that and it gets boring pretty fast.
Sounds like you just need to land a little bit away from the crowded spots and gear up before picking your encounter, but I wouldn't avoid all contact, that's just gonna lead to a boring half hour with a 5 second thrill kill at the end if even.

I'd much rather just get more kills, love knocking people out of the game way more than seeing the words "wwcd".

Desperately need some aiming setting help. As good as this game seems to be, the aiming (at default at least) is way too off for a shooter. Would like to hear what settings some of you are comfortable with for shooting.

I've got mine, from Dead Zone to 15x
0,8,5,7,8,8,8,8,8

In Device Settings for my Elite controller I have my Right Trigger going from 0-45 w/hair trigger on.

I don't get 8x or 15x very often so I haven't really been able to test if those are good sensitivities for it.

Works okay for now and it's what I'm sticking to until they tune the controls more. It might not be for everyone.

God I love / hate the shooting in this. I understand there's an art when it's medium to long distance shooting but when you're in the same living room as me and none of my crouched shots are registering it gets annoying.

Shooting from shoulder perspective btw, because heat of the moment CQC like that first person has never done me any favors.

Playing on the X, game seems to run smoother but not quite there yet. Def noticed a difference....played some solo matches and generally I do well. Was in a house looting and heard someone came in on the first floor, I slowly walked out to the balcony and closed the door, they came runnning up after me and had my shotty waiting for them. Two shots dead...while looting that guy another guy rolled up in his car and came through the back door. I saw him pull up through the window...got in position and waited he came running through the door...he didn't even see the shotgun shells coming. He took it right to the face.

Haven't won a chicken dinner yet, I keep either fucking up very late end game (top 10) or someone prick picks me off from hiding in the bushes or some shit. Pretty damn fun tho!

ONE thing I noticed that's worse after the patch is the rubber banding....good lord!

The problem is he doesn't want to land in a smart spot and then take out people who won those 'high risk, high reward' spot weapons. He wants to go to school every time, which either ends in us having good weapons or a super short game. He shoots at people who are way too far away to reliably hit, exposing us to danger from those who are WAY closer...but we haven't seen yet.

My experience is everybody will tell you not to stealth if you want to win. My experience is also: ignore that. I almost always finish in top ten, and sometimes win matches, by being cautious.

I think the only real advantage of ultra aggression is the chance at extra loot and also dying early, thus increasing the amount of potential matches in a set period/day/etc.

Played 2 games "after" the patch and there is a noticeable improvement in frame rate. I also was driving around a lot and the pop up and draw in also seemed improved. Overall it is a smoother experience and a bit more enjoyable. Still a ways to go of course.

I think aiming is a bit more responsive as well.
