Getting sick of every end game being in a fucking open field with cars, trucks driving around running everyone over.

It's fucking stupid. They really need a better system for vehicles and end game places.

I still haven't mastered all the buttons yet.. When I start trying to do grenades and all that I end up getting killed. Need more practice!

Have they said anything about allowing three person squads like in the pc version? Would love to be able to uncheck an auto fill box and not wait forever to match with a 4th.

Well, that was cool. If I see that coming after me in game...

I wouldn't call it a glitch. This is most likely due to a slow harddrive or lack of ram. Do you have an SSD you can put it on?

No, just a regular Harddrive and 8 GB Ram... then I guess that was the problem.

I play PC on a GTX 760 and always have the texture load problems on the EA servers. I haven't tried the 1.0 release on PC yet because I'm having a lot of fun with the Xbox version but I can say that when I was playing the Desert map on PC test servers that I no longer had texture load issues and it ran significantly better than the EA version.

Sounds good... I haven't play on PC since July or August due to the texture load problems. It's pretty annoying when people start shooting at you and you didn't had a chance to even enter a building.
What I really like in the XBox Version is the shooting feedback you got with the gamepad. Especially the rumble in the right trigger when you fire a weapon. That's something I really miss when playing with M+K.

I love the situtations vehicles can create in this game. Yesterday in a match I drove to the circle in a dune buggy, went in to loot some houses when the red zone came on our heads. Another buggy arrived with a guy who instatly ran into a house. I saw him, but I couldn't follow him due to the imminent bombs. When the red zone ends, turns out another guy was hidden as they steal my car and take the other one as well. Luckily not too far away there was a bike so I drove to the next circle almost flipping to death, having to zig-zag a bit as I literally went through a firefight but nobody shot me. Intense shit.

In terms of near misses, I got to number 3 last night. Was an unusual final circle, right down in the corner of the south island. I got there with my usual tactic of taking weird lines, and directions.

I was down on a small beach, and thought I had checked there was still a way back up.

Everyone else was up top having fun murdering each other so I left them to it :).

Down to 4 and I'd seen there was one person down on the cliffs with me, but lost track of them in the rocks. Circle was closing and I had a choice to make, about what route to take.

Picked a random way up that looked OK and discovered person number 4 above me. 3 shotgun shots dispatched them (some nearby rocks were also definitely killed too, casualties of war and all that).

Then with the final blue closing on me I discovered why they were still there, the final jump up onto the normal level was too high, and it wasn't triggering the mantle system.....

So I die helplessly to the blue at number 3 spot with only 1 kill, very late into the match. I love this game! :)

Had a quick go this morning and the game seemed to be running with very little lag and as a result, was so much more smoother. I wonder if the servers are getting hit during peak times creating the lag?

Managed to get third and choked. There was a guy in the bushes in prone right in front of me, I'm pretty sure he couldn't see me but rather than throw a grenade or just shoot him I pressed the wrong button and stood up which gave away my position and ended me.

Since PC went out of early access. Any news on Xbox?

Nothing.

It would be nice to have some sort of road map for the game or at least some more communication from the devs.

My personal wants are:

Reduce lag/rubber banding
Reduce fuel for vehicles
Make vehicles weaker
Custom controls
Reduce texture load times
3 man squads.

As it stands, frame rate isn't a big issue for me, I seem to be getting 30 fps most of the time once I've got boots on ground with only rare drops. The biggest issue now, is the rubber banding/lag.

Third game, #18!

Getting there, but I feel like most of it is luck.

Oh it is, and it makes it even more exciting. You gotta be good but you gotta have the odds in your favor too. There are a lot of quality tips in this thread already that will make you get closer and closer however, including:
- holding RB allows you to look around yourself in 3rd person view without moving your character
- more populated areas likely have better loot, the key is finding fairly big buildings in places where no other people will go (eg. because it's too far from the plane)
- cars are near the main roads mostly
- the first circles don't kill fast so you can stick around on the outside if needed for a bit as long as you have some bandaids
- only engage with enemies when you're practically certain you'll get rid of them in a few shots or there's no other choices, caution gets you far normally
- grenades are amazing
- use a headset to hear footsteps and directions better

I'm managing to get in the top 10 fairly consistently nowadays, but to get that sweet chicken dinner you need good gear, good positioning, good skills, and even good luck with the circles and the enemies' behaviours.

Everyone's chicken dinner consists of luck. That's the beauty of this game. Being in the right place at the right time can get you the win.

Keep trying, you'll soon be eating that chicken!

Well, it was a 1v1 for the chicken dinner. I decided to hide back behind the rock and plan out my next play against the guy who was out in the open.... and then the screen started shaking and it declared I died from fall damage...........................................
Fucking hell thats frustrating!!

I made it to number 8, I still can't fully grasp the controls and I don't think I'm very good at this game. It is very fun though!

I've noticed since the patch, that my game freezes(playing on my OG Xbox One, have an X, but can't use it this week)and either closes out or I have to quit out. Luckily I'm able to join back in the match, but it's definitely hurt our squad a few times.

Game is like crack though. It's one of the few games that has torn me away from Rainbow Six Siege and that take a lot.

Cannot wait to see where this game is in a few months. They need to fix the memory leak issues stat. Rubber banding hasn't been too much of an issue for me so far.

I started trying to glide further away from the plane before I nose dived to the ground, but i swear there is more people that way.. maybe I was just lucky when the game first came out, but there is always people landing by me. Back to just straight nose diving once i get out of the plane.

This sums up a fair share of my matches tbh.

Lol. Thanks this gave me a good laugh

These are my two most important strategies and I've gotten one win and starting to end up in the top 10 more often.

Also, waypoint the center of each new circle as they appear so you know what direction to go to if you need to hustle.

I very rarely land alone.... Very rarely.

Ive tried dropping far away on places that only have 1 or 2 buildings and there is still someone there.

My new tactic is to drop on one of the places that has loads of buildings and work fast.

Got back to back dinners last night in squad. I was the last member alive for both. It was insane. One included a triple nade kill.

Last night's chicken dinner made me go out and buy a roast chicken so I can literally have a chicken dinner tonight.

Made it onto the Hypezone yesterday and got a few clutch kills to get into the final 2. Had positioning on the last guy but got impatient and choked on the final kill. Feels bad man.

Death aside, that first guy should have been dead and was a reminder of my experience last night. It seems like only half my shots were registering.
Should have been dead? He missed the shots. Single-shot is your friend.

*I'm not sure my controller would have survived the "Fall" death. The tension of this game just amplifys the impact of any hiccup. I can't wait to play this when it is smooth.

It's odd bc when I play I never see anybody driving a car around in the last few circles, but when I watch streams everybody seems to do it.
