Definitely liking Witcher 3 waaaay more than the second game, which I could only put a few hours into before I gave up. Combat is much better in 3, though I'm still not completely sold on it.
Thanks for the reply. Anyone know if that is fixable or do I need to send it in for a replacement?
Could be wrong but even the ultra textures were not 4K resolution on the PC were they.
I don't believe so but they look nicer than the ones on the console versions. The player armor and main characters look significantly better. I guess I should say Ultra textures and not 4K textures.
Agreed. I played it at Ultra settings on PC (though I had a 1080P monitor at the time), but this is something else.

So I try lots of different things before calling Microsoft help. As I'm on the phone I notice I can enter in the model number. Yep, that fixed it.
So yeah, enter in the mode number if you know it and can.
No IR cable needed so that was a waste of $7.

I have too. I've played it in SLI configs at Ultra and 60fps, but being on a 65'' and the HDR addition, makes this a different story.
Got mine last night. Early christmas present from my girlfriend cause we didnt want to drag our presents when flying to my folks...anyway....
What a glorious machine. Havnt honestly followed a lot of details but booting it up and see a selection of the digital games ive owned (44 total) was incredible.
I knew about the Gears 3 remaster so I booted that up and i was beautiful. Same with Ninja Gaiden black. I have PS4 only this gen so coming back to Xbox has brought up a lot of old gaming memories.
Game pass is awesome. I have Gears 4 and Halo 5 ready to get when I get back and I can see a lot of other classics Id lik to play.
In terms of what the box itself does, this is the impressed I have been by a console. If they can get the games on next year, this thing will be a winner.

If you didn't already play it on PS4, I highly recommend picking up Rise of the Tomb Raider 20th Anniversary edition on sale for $20 right now. Other big games like Final Fantasy XV or Forza Horizon 3 (soon to be enhanced) I'd say "If it's your thing" but I feel Rise of the Tomb Raider has a universal appeal and it's insanely polished and perfectly balanced. Cannot be missed.

Has anyone else's X (Scorpio) been dropping WiFi multiple times a day? Launch Xbox one never did, and none of the other devices I own drop either. I don't even know how to troubleshoot it. Selecting "Go Offline" And then "Go Online" from the Network tab let's it connect again, bu it sucks when I'm doing a NFS race and get the "youve lost connection" error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Yes, I was experiencing exactly this, but it doesn't seem to happen anymore. I honestly don't know what the solution is. Wish I could be of more help. It just kinda fixed itself, I guess. I did stop using instant on a week or so ago, but I'm not convinced that's what made things better.
I was dropping a wired connection the last week or so, but I chalked that up to Comcast. I'm running on Verizon WiFi now and haven't had any issues. Yet.
The wifi had some issues. Wich the base Xbox One didnt had.
But that got fixed after some preview updates. Wich got adressed also in the patch notes. I had problems wich i never had before and after the patches it was oke.
Maybe the people who still have problems didnt get those patches yet?

Oh yeah, I do. 10mb down is the fastest I can get. I'm at my sisters now and she has 100 down. Thinking about how I should have brought my Xbox over to download stuff, lol.
Just posting this here but it seems ;my cloud saves get deleted as well when I uninstall a game? This was never the case, where can I find this option?
Got one of these reserved to pick up Boxing Day as a Christmas gift to myself. Already own a first run Xbox One, but since getting a 4K TV last year its time to get a machine to match it.

Wildlands looks lovely on the X, though the game is weaker as a single player experience. Assassins Creed:Oranges is great looking too, though I've not put a ton of time into it.
Origins is the only assassins game I played through and loved. Definitely get it

It's been awhile since I played W3 on that setup so it's probably a bit unfair simply because OLED has such a drastic impact on PQ. The combination of the bigger screen and HDR is a great experience.
I don't believe any recent patches for the game have been released, so it should be in the same shape it was when the X first released.
Playing it yesterday and no further fixes so far. Still a much better game on 1Xbut the graphical issues etc are still present.
Would I be right to think that all existing current-generation games, even those released before the X that used to run with slightly better performance/resolution on the PS4, will now run at their best on the X even unpatched?

It depends whether the XBO games are locked to a maximum 900p resolution. Many are, which means that they fail to live up to the PS4 version even when the additional power. But games like Doom for example, with no 900p limit, are improved on X over PS4 (or Pro) with better framerate stability and texture filtering.
I had the same problem with the controller that came with my X. Luckily I already had an Elite controller, and that has worked with no problems. I've been meaning to call MS about it, actually...
The month of Game Pass that comes with the X... is that just for new members? Like a trial? Or is it literally just a free month? I basically wanna know if I can do my £1 first month and then use that code from the console, effectively getting two months for £1.
Will it sync using a USB cable? I had to use USB to do the initial sync of my pro controller
Same here, I played it at Ultra settings at 1080p on a Lightning Z 1080ti, higher framerate there and gsync is magical but I'd say that it's definitely prettier on Xbox One X seen at 4K with HDR on my Sony xe9305, I think I took like 10 screengrabs at my first sunset lol

Mine does it too, doesn't affect anything bar the subtle noise. You could probably get it replaced if it was annoying enough. My GTX 970 has it too when playing games at high fps. It does no harm though afaik.
So how much heat is acceptable with this system? It seems to pipe out some pretty hot air and the system itself is always warm to the touch when it's being used.
