I only see that happen on solo play, and yeah...it's stupid but also people are getting more used to that and it is becoming easy to destroy or explode the cars with the drivers inside.
Anyway, I wouldn't approve on your idea but instead disable them inside the last circles, giving the chance of someone distant to at least reach the final circles.
Very much a Solo Play thing. Playing Duos and Squads, it rarely, if ever, happens. I like your idea of disabling them inside the final circles.

Any one care to dumb down zeroing for a donkey?
The way I understand it is every one of the squares on the mini map is 100 meters. All guns are dialed in at 100 meters by default. This means that if you are sizing up a headshot at somebody 20 meters away, you will want to aim a bit lower or your shot will go over their head. So if you are aiming at someone 300 meters away and want your site to still be centered, you would adjust to 300 meters on your scope.

Sqauds game with around 22 players left total, getting to the smaller circles in the hills somewhere SW of Stalber. Our entire team crashed to dashboard at the same time and reconnected just in time to have to blindly run from the blue. I know this might sound hard to believe but.... we didn't win the game.

I feel your pain. The same thing happened to my squad a few days ago. 30 players left, but our loot was amazing. 2 snipers, full loaded m4s, all level 3 helmets and vests.....

It hurts....

For scopes that are 8 times and up you zero by pressing up and down on the Dpad (Nowhere explains this at all, I looked for days). Normal zeroing starts at 100 which means thats the scope accounting for that distance, or, one square on your mini map. If you up the zeroing (200,300,400, 500) thats how many meters youre telling your scope to account for, and if you set it correctly you no longer have to aim higher to account for distance because you set the scope to account for that for you, meaning its much easier to snipe.

finally got my first win(s) on Xbox One X. I rarely play Xbox instead of PC because I get frustrated with the controls, but I did yesterday and ended up winning 3 in a row. It was awesome. I made a short video showing the ends of each game:

Lol. Just had a squad game with friends where my buddy got stuck in a wall then fell to his death. So we start friendly killing each other to get into a new match. We end up fighting 1v1 and a buggy comes along..

Here are the patch notes.

https://forums.playbattlegrounds.com/topic/158530-xbox-game-preview-patch-notes-4/

Gameplay

  • Aim acceleration can now be adjusted by players via in-game option
  • Player weapon damage has been increased against vehicles. We will continue to monitor player feedback and telemetry and make further balancing adjustments as needed in future updates
  • FPP Solo matchmaking queue will be made available for NA/EU/and Oceanic servers. We will open other modes within those regions as concurrency allows
  • Fixed an issue that caused indoor lighting and shadows to appear too dark and blueish
  • Analog stick acceleration added while exiting the plane and while parachuting

Optimization

  • PhysX performance enhancements
  • Server FPS slightly increased
  • Client FPS slightly increased
  • Some VFX received slight optimizations

Option

  • Music on/off option added

Bug fixes

  • Addressed a number of known crashes
  • Fixed a UI issue that occurred when multiple players attempted to loot from the same source

The servers will be in maintenance from 1 AM PST / 9 AM UTC / 6 PM KST in preparation for the new patch. It will take about 30 minutes.
Please close the game and update your client. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Player weapon damage has been increased against vehicles.

These are big imo. Aim acceleration is the main reason I can't hit anything in a pressured situation.
Wonder by how much they increased the damage? Before it took 1,5 extended mag to blow up a car. If you only need 1 extended mag now I can see the final circle carmageddon being a thing of the past.

Hope the vehicle damage adjustments are subtle. What you don't want is vehicles becoming instant death traps. Otherwise then the game will move to pure chance as to whether you land inside the first couple of circles.

Oh for fuck sake. They ruining this freaking game.

That would have balanced itself out over time, just like on PC, no need to change anything. It's completely normal that in a social media world like this, people try the best ways out to win, even if it's a dirty tactic, people try to exploit stuff, specially when it spreads around the internet, but like all trends it would die without any help when people get behind how to counter it or if the hype around this tactic dies.

These shit changes to please the casual masses could kill this freaking thing one day.
First laser like recoil and now this. Let's hope they don't explode too fast.
When I drive down a street and someone can get me explode from the side even if I drive full speed, I'm done with this game.

Agree. Vehicles aren't that prevalent now. People get shot out of them all the time. It just takes time to adjust. I feel this damage change might be a bit pre-emptive.

Im curious what the best aiming options are right now.

Scoping sensitivity on 3 felt good but was damn slow and just a detour to make it better. Maybe now we finally can change some acceleration, make scoping higher and it still feels good?

Been setting all sensitivity options to 6 and my aim is a whole lot better. Got my first chicken dinner as well 3 days ago. Me and my friend have stopped overthinking things now and just have fun wherever we go and whatever we do. I simply love this game. (I play on x1x)

Nice little changes, was getting lots of crashes on the Original Xbox One and some now and then on the X

Now it's time to try the new acceleration settings and see if the aim feels better when the game gets chaotic.

What do they mean with more fps on server and client? Is that another way to say they tried to smoother the game stability when in the crowded areas?

Is aim acceleration the speed at which you aim when aiming down sights?

Also, how is everyone adjusting their settings? Is that just an Elite controller thing?

aim acceleration is when you, for example, move the right stick to the right. the crosshair will move right. first slowly but will start to speed up (accelerate)

And everyone says you should turn it off completely.

Tried that but can't decide which sensitivity I use now. 3 was perfect before and now 8-10 feels what I had before but that can't be right, can't decide.

Tried aim acceleration on 10 just for shits and giggle and Jesus is that fast, having everything on 3 feels like on 10 before the patch. :D

Won my second game yesterday. The final few areas included a little lake so I just hid underwater and surfaced when I had to. By the time I was forced into land there were only 5 people left.

I'm surprised more people don't stick to the water as a tactic. Boats are easy to come by.

It's a good change though. Especially for solos. :D

If I'm in a vehicle I can consistently get into the top 3, it's almost a cheat code unless the final circles are on a mountain or between buildings. Last two times I attempted this strategy I finished 2nd and 3rd respectively. The downside is that my position is known unless there's some major cover around or I have smoke grenades, hence the last time I got in 3rd I got grenade'd just as I left the vehicle basically. If you have the right vehicle and play it smart, you can do top 10s easily, so something had to be done. Of course cars don't have to get death traps, they shouldn't go down with 3 bullets, but the current meta vas not viable with the current balancing.

I'm more concerned about the shooting feeling more and more inconsistent as weeks go by. In early matches I never had issues racking up a couple kills almost every match, of course players weren't as skilled as they are now but either way I'm usually attacking targets only if I'm positive I can get the upper hand, and even then I often fail. Not long ago a guy was crawling in the grass facing away from me, I walk behind him and shoot him half a round of assault rifle from close up, he has the time to turn around and kill me. I'm good enough at FPS and TPS games to know that's not normal. Compare this to the first days when I could down anyone with a couple shots and I wonder what the hell happened.

I know that the vehicle changes do seem too drastic, but they do have the counter the current meta, it's not like its irreversible.

i agree the biggest issue with shooting cars is how difficult it is to track, so as aiming gets better, cars can be buffed again, and if it's dialed up too far, it seems they are completely open to changing things, I could see them buffing it back in a few weeks/month

On your first point re vehicles...you sort of make the argument. They are useless for many final circles. And the huge disadvantage they had is your position is known. I get that early in the game's life on xbox you had 3 vehicles in every last 10 circle. But now you get one at most and the driver almost always departs the vehicle. Because people can aim now. :)

As for point two I totally agree. I've had the same problem. I know the armour is a variable but still. I've shot someone twice point blank range with a shotgun and they've survived then killed me with an UZI. I've also had times where I've used a shotty at a longer range and its killed them dead. There is a lot of inconsistency (I think its netcode myself) and for a game like this it needs sorting. Because my current tactic is to avoid gunfights unless absolutely necessary, simply because that is a more predictable tactic. The gunfights feel incredibly random right now. And like you I've enough FPS experience to know it isn't simply my own ineptitude, most of the time.

I'm doing the same, on my first match ever I killed 3 dudes, nowadays I usually finish my matches with 0, 1, or 2 kills at most, and many of those are people I run over, lol. I practically never attempt firefights anymore unless it's an absolute necessity, if I'm not 100% confident I can win it and the opponent didn't see me I won't even shoot. I get it, there's no aim assist, but I've got a long experience with FPS and TPS games on both PC and consoles, and while I'm no xXxMLG_quickscopezxXX I am a good enough player to understand that my aiming is mostly not the issue when I can't kill a dude with 4 shots of choke'd shotgun point blank. Turn back to the first 2 days when I scored 2 chicken dinners in solo where I downed the last guy with a couple bullets each time. Right now I have issues killing people laying in the grass 20m from me, and that's how I won in the first days too so I don't know what's up. I tried different controllers, different screens (input lag and all), different connections but firefights seem to be a matter of chance right now, and it's not something I want to risk anymore when I'm in the top 10.
