So when you say software solution with the app I have load the app up or something before I play the game?

Kind of, yes. You purchase/download the app and then it's just a setting you change in the Xbox settings. It'll use the Atmos app anytime you have a headset connected and then whatever audio source you choose when a headset isn't connected.

Are people still complaining about a preview game not acting like a finished game?

The game is by far 10 times better since the initial release on both consoles and the devs have been actively patching it weekly

If you were not around for the pc release the game ran like shit for the first few months with many problems similar to the console versions

It does with a software solution provided you're using headphones with the Atmos app. Not as good as a hardware solution obviously, but it still does a really great job. And obviously software that does support it will have a higher quality/support more features.

No PUBG does not support it in code.

I don't believe the Atmos app does a damn thing if the game doesn't support Atmos.

Okay thanks. I guess it's already set because I did that when I redeemed my Atmos code...

I'm on the other Tside of a warehouse and a nade killed me even though I had full health. Got 2nd because of it. You have to be kidding me with this shit.

It's not doing anything for me. Sound told me the guy was downstairs only for him to be in the room right next to me. Sound in general is broken in this game

https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2017/11/13/xbox-one-x-windows-sonic-dolby-atmos-feature/

What games and movies support Spatial Sound?

Any traditional surround sound content is automatically upscaled with Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos to provide an enhanced audio experience – making that content more immersive than before. Games that natively support Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos offer the highest level of audio immersion and location accuracy, including Gears of War 4, Super Lucky's Tale, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Assassin's Creed Origins. Additionally, there are over 250 movies for Dolby Atmos that you can watch on Blu-ray, UHD Blu-ray, or on major streaming services such as Netflix, Vudu, and Microsoft's own Movies & TV app.

Read more at https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2017/11...onic-dolby-atmos-feature/#P8Bv1fiyg4zS7biE.99

If the game supports surround sound at all, which is pretty much every game, the Atmos app works.

My third solo FPP chicken! I think I prefer FPP for solos and duos.... Still need to play more to get a better feel for it.

Had back to back duo FPP chickens and three TPP squad chickens also. A glorious day!

Now have a cumulative total of 102 dinners across all modes/regions.

I feel like one of the changes that should be made is to remove clothing from the game. Doing that should make picking up items less frustrating, and it also gives everyone a chance to show off their own costumes they earned from the crates — right now, if people can just change their outfit in the game then it kind of makes the loot from crates not as valuable. The best benefit from this though should hopefully be better performance.

My friend had a really good game where he took out 2 squads out all on his own, (He forgot to record the first squad) but here is the second:

Man, that is ridiculous. I have trouble stringing together one kill in a row, let alone 4. Consecutively apparently. I would spot weld my pants if I ever pulled that off. Most kills I ever had in a game was 8. 3 from running over people, one guy got Mike Tysoned, and I got the rest with the mp28 or whatever that machine gun with the round magazine on top is. And that was at the end. This dude has 12 kills with 52 left. One day... One day I will figure out the aiming in this game.

I like finding gas masks and coats though. Since I'll never get one from a crate haha...

Leave the clothes in, add an option toggle to ignore looting it. No press X to loot it, doesn't show up in your list when you go to the start menu. Just let me get to the real stuff. Especially since sometimes the cosmetic stuff seems to interfere with the regular loot. Maybe. I don't know. It's impossible to tell why the loot menu glitches out in the ways it does. Sometimes doing right stick input fixes it. Sometimes not. Sometimes LB/RB to go off the column and back fixes it, sometimes not. Sometimes leaving for a second fixes it. Sometimes not. Sometimes I just have to ask a teammate to pick up an item and drop it five feet away. They really need to take a look at the whole looting menu at this point.

Aside from the glitch where I can no longer move up it down in the proximity search, I don't have an issue with the inventory or clothes. I just walk over an area that has a bunch of stuff and hit the menu button to quickly go through what's there.

However, I've been having an issue with switch between grenade types since the update and moving to control scheme B. I have to go into the menu to switch grenades now. Am I missing something or are others experiencing this?

Recently switched over from Fortnite to PUBG on Xbox X. With the recent patch, this thing looks f'n amazing. I come to you with two questions that would help sanity with this game immensely:

1. The no auto-aim is killing me (pun intended) - any general tips (outside of "git good")?
2. I've seen a number of people talk about changing all the sensitivity settings - is there a preferred setting?

So im confused. Can you play in a lobby that restricts the FOV to First Person only?

I actually agree with this. It just makes looting shittier.

Haven't played since a couple days ago. As solid as I think the game is compared to what some people say I did have my first bullshit moment. Got killed by a guy that clearly wasn't looking at me (I was behind him). Seems pretty clear it was him and not someone else too based on the timing and lack of other shotgun blasts.

Won my first game of solo FPP. I got to one of the final circles with only a mini 14 and an uzi and thought I was royally fucked. Then I got the jump on a dude with my uzi, took his M16, and then this happened.

Not sure if this bugs anyone else, but I don't like how the sights (using type B) do not come up when you pull the left trigger if your character is doing something. I don't mind the delay, but I hate that I have to repull the trigger in crunch time. Games like BF1 will pull the sights up after a reload is complete, for example. Same goes for the LB. It will work if you are stationary, and then it lets you move with it activated, but it wont activate on the move.

3 matches in a row I loot a billion houses only to find fuckshit. Then I meet people, my hits aren't detected by the game and I die. I even ran over someone with a car at high speed, he walked away. 3 matches in a row I can't even get inside top 40 as the game simply gets more and more unstable with each patch. Last one I shotgunned a guy 3 times from like 5 metres to no damage. The fact it loses my aim settings every other day seems to be the cherry on top. Losing my patience tbh.

Record that action and post it here. There are maps showing the areas that have chances for better loot too, I'll try to find that.

As far as stability, what system are you on? For the X at least, each patch has been a massive step in the right direction. In duos, my buddy on an S (same network, we lan party) crashes out of matches a lot less than I do.

I'm on X and each patch causes more issues. Had no crashes at launch, latest patches now have them. Had no major framerate issues bar the parachuting earlier, now every time I go to town it's a slideshow. First days had great hit detection, now I feel like half my bullets don't register. Menus are getting unuseable with errors everywhere. My character doesn't take the right pose in the inventory. First person view is often fucked up with part of my body taking up the screen. Doors can't be interacted with sometimes (happened multiple times today). I fall under the map. Just got ran over by someone and it didn't even display his name. In the last 4 matches the only time I managed to find decent equipment I spent like 8 minutes looting in Georg, everywhere else I could loot 10 houses and only get away with a pistol - this didn't happen before. My settings (including language and aiming) keep getting lost these past weeks, again this didn't happen prior.

I don't even know anymore tbh. Game was surprisingly smooth early days when everyone was complaining about crashes. Now it seems like every patch brings in new issues, and it's getting pretty annoying. Issues I am not getting are supposedly getting fixed and they somehow become worse, and messing with DVR or reinstalls does nothing I don't take a lot of clips, not of shooting anyway, I mostly concentrate on the odd shit. About that, here's a friendly reminder.

Game is a mess again today. Been two shotted every single game with full health. None of my shots are connecting.

Amazes me that they didn't see the switching weapon bug when in the map in the new patch

Those seem like very specific examples where it may have been nonsense, but not really helping your case

In the first video, was there any actual contact between your car and the other player? Or did you expect your car to push his car into him and kill him? You lost almost all your momentum as soon as your jeep hit that buggy.

Second video was stupid sure, but again, there are weird instances that aren't really proving your point. Your health was low, the car was rolling and there was a wall, who knows how that factored in.

What region are you in? I'm on the east coast in NA and I'm also playing on the X. Did have some games where I got terrible stuff, but haven't experienced much of all the other stuff you are talking about. At least not anywhere near the amount you are claiming.

Each patch has made the game much better overall for me.

I didn't post those clips to prove a point, just two funny things that happened to me in a very short interval of time. I'm not going to start making clips of every shootout just to prove a point, as you can see from other posts (see the one below my last post or stuff on Reddit) other people are having issues too. I'm not trying to piss on the game or make any fanboy point, in the past month or so I played the game almost every day and I love so many things about it, but to me the patches didn't improve much.

- Alternative control scheme is not ideal to me, so I'm not using it
- I keep losing my settings
- Framerate goes down every time there's a lot of buildings
- Getting crashes and freezes
- I encounter invisible barriers that do weird shit to my vehicle (I had one such clip on my profile with the bike)
- My character has a fucked up pose in the inventory
- My first person view is often partially covered by part of my character's body
- Firefights, in general, have been far more unreliable, even looking at the stats my precision keeps getting worse despite getting better at the game
- I had people shoot me through objects or hiding under the map
- I encountered at least two enemies running at high speed and making no noise whatsoever, which completely messed up my perception despite using a headset at max volume

Again, none of this was happening before 2 or 3 patches came by. I tried the game on my OG Xbox but I mainly play on X, I played on a 35mbps DSL wired and a 5G connection wireless. I'm on EU servers since I'm in Europe. It's just a bit disheartening, that is all: I'm trying my best to improve at this game and yet I seem to get worse as the issues accumulate. Seems unbelievable that I had 0 crashes in the first 2 weeks, barely any frmerate issues, could regularly shoot down moving targets... now I have more issues than ever. Odd, considering at launch people were crashing and lagging left and right, looks like it's my turn now.

No idea how we are all having completely different experiences with the same build and hardware. I realize that the game is massive and there's so many variables, but what you are posting is a complete departure from my experience.

Try clearing your cache. It wasn't saving my settings either before

Me and my friends have some of the same issues. We have no idea what we'll get game to game because of the games poor performance.

It's probably because I'm on the X but the game has never felt smother than it has since the latest patch. Have only crashed a few times and the framerate drops don't happen nearly as often. Rubberbanding is far more rare, also.

Still needs more work, but they're getting there!
