The PC beta was very different than the console BETA. The weapon balance was very solid(Not an SMG fest)and the STG44 got nerf. And from the streams I've been watching the spawns don't seem that crazy at all so far. I linked to the Ali-A video and he explains it.

I hadn't been following the game so I only discovered this today but it really isn't an issue. Health packs are plentiful and can be picked up around the levels, your squad has a medic who at times offers additional packs (I believe you can hold 4 at once) and also an ammo guy can supply you with additional rounds. The squad mechanic feels fresh and works nicely and I quite like the new health system.
You also have a spotter who identifies enemies with glowing outlines which is really useful as seeing enemies at distances in COD has been a nuisance in the past.

I bought this from cdkeys.com the other day, and a day later I received a message from them saying "we noticed you bought COD WW2 EU version, this game will not activate in Germany. If you want a refund contact our support". I answered to the message, telling them that I still want the game. And today, since a while ago, clicking on the download link in the purchase email will not take me to the "this game will activate later today" message anymore, but to a message that says "this game will not activate in your region. If you believe you received this message in error, or want a refund, contact support."

I wrote them that I still want the damn game, hope they don't screw this up :/

I'm also quite sure there was no "won't activate in Germany" note when I bought the game, now there is. Not 100% sure, though.

Have you tried a VPN to get around the activation restriction?

The one issue I have in the campaign is that while things are smooth most of the time, whenever in-game cutscenes, big set pieces or overtly large scale moments are taking place with a lot of effects work - the framerate tanks. It seems to stutter quite alot in these instances.

Playing on regular PS4 for reference.

I can't speak for the multiplayer but 4 missions deep the campaign is hitting all the right notes. I'm in the camp that sledgehammer's AW was previously the best COD campaign this gen though, so perhaps I'm just partial to their style of design.

Ah I guess I'm not the target audience? More of a basketball fan and didn't see any there, also none on social media.

Anyway, I enjoyed the hell out of AW's campaign, so I would be surprised if I didn't enjoy this somewhat. I just haven't seen anything that really has impressed me so far though

Well, atleast the campaign looks a bit more authentic then what they showed thus far in their promo materials. Might pick this up in a year or two once it hits the bargain bin.

All those bombing killstreaks are too samey. But I guess that's the con of WW2.

Only ones that really stand out are the manual gunner, paratroopers and the three seperate mortar strikes.

HDR is on PS4 base, PS4 Pro, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X, provided your TV supports it, etc. There is a very sophisticated up-sampling/anti-aliasing algorithm used on all the platforms to hit target resolutions, you can find it discussed here... oh, I reviewed and edited the presentation but we haven't put it up yet. It's from Jorge Jimenez as you'd expect, from SIGGRAPH 2017.

Ugh I got the itch pretty bad. I should wait for reviews, especially for the pc version, but I wants it. I thought the beta was great, now I'm fiending.

I'm just hoping the campaign is good. I''ve missed WWII shooters, and the last one I really enjoyed was CoD2 back in 2005.

Played an hour of the campaign. Using health packs took a little getting used to but I dig it.

Performance on OG PS4 is a pretty mixed bag tho; lots of stuttering.
